I LOVE Kristen Proby but this book was SO BORING. There was no character growth. No conflict. No real point at all. Hannah and Brad get together in the beginning and just stay that way the whole time. And the sexy scenes weren’t even that well written.

Her other books are some of my favorites but this is just a let down.

Just a sweet fun story about falling in love while overcoming fear. Loved Hannah and Brad! Loved how he takes care of her and she of him. Loved the scenes of Montana. If you just want to get lost in a bit of romance for a while this is one to read!

Guess whose in a Proby mood again? I appreciated how this book touched on Hannah's anxiety and other aspects how it affected her life.

This first book in Kristen Proby's rebooted Big Sky series was enjoyable, easy to read and engaging.

Plus, it was great to catch up with some of the old characters and meet a whole host of new ones. Including, the main two Hannah and Brad. Who were both likable, and who created a sweet, believable relationship as this story developed. Although, I must admit to finding Hannah and all her anxiety issues a little annoying and so I found it hard to connect with her.

But overall I did think it was a great start to this series and I'm certainly looking forward to reading more of it in the future. And it has made me want to go back and reread those earlier stories.

And I would happily recommend Charming Hannah to others.

Another great book from Proby. Brad and Hannah's story made for a lighthearted read. While it had a bit of drama, it made for a fast, enjoyable story. I'd love to see if Proby will continue with stories for Max and Jenna.

Welcome Back to Cunningham Falls!

In Charming Hannah we finally get to read Brad's story, whom we've met in the Love Under The Big Sky series. (And, woo-hoo! We get to bump into the familiar faces from that series too!) Brad, who is the newly appointed police chief in Cunningham Falls, finds is difficult to date with his hectic and unpredictable schedule. That, and nobody has really caught his eye. Except for Dr. Hannah Malone, who at one point he believes is already in a relationship with a fellow doctor. When these two finally get together, the chemistry is almost instantaneous. They just get each other and the demands that come with their professions.

One thing that I think needs to be pointed out about this book is the main characters issues with anxiety. Kristen either truly understands what it is like to deal with anxiety or she has done her research really well. As someone who deals with this issue on a daily basis, she got so much right! I loved the way she was able to convey through Hannah what an anxiety attack feels like, that during an episode your brain is literally warring with itself. On one hand, you know that the thoughts and feelings you're experiencing aren't rational but a bigger, stronger part of your brain takes over and you just can't see reason. She does a fine job portraying this issue in a way that is interesting to the story and non-clinical but very accurate.

The thing that disappointed me most about the book was the ending. Now, it might be because I'm greedy and want more of the characters. But it was also the feeling of incompleteness. I felt that the end of the book was unfinished, it just stopped in a weird place for me. I'm hoping that we'll get some closure with Brad and Hannah throughout the other books in the series.

One of the reasons that I always come back to Kristen's books is that there is such a low level of angst or suspense. There are things that happen that make the story interesting and moves the story along but you're not sitting on the edge of your seat, biting your nails wondering what's going to happen next. And sometimes you just need a book like that.

Overall, I think this was another wonderful book from Kristen and I look forward to seeing what else she has planned for the Cunningham Falls gang!

This story was fun and enjoyable!

I like that the author displayed Hannah’s weaknesses without poking fun at it. How Brad had a tinge of the same but they helped balance each other.

Now while this story was enjoyable and there was nothing wrong with the performance there was something OFF about the book that I can’t put my finger on.

I enjoyed the book overall, it was a great first book in a series. I liked some of the second-hand characters more but that’s ok. Hannah was sweet and her anxiety was hard to hear because I know what it's like. It was very real and it’s very real to the person who is going through it.

I loved how Brad just understood and was there for her in any way he needed it. Their love story wasn’t OMG mind-blowing it was sweet and hits the sweet spot of romance for me.

I enjoyed his narration more than hers but that could just be because I haven’t heard of her before and sometimes it takes a few books to really get a feel for a new narrator to me. Enjoyable though for sure.
