Another great book in this mystery series. I loved the story, the characters, the investigation, the side stories and the fact that you can't really guess the killer until the end.

The best book in the series so far. I liked that the characters have finally moved forward.

"Some men gamble, and some race phaetons or chase lightskirts. I solve murders."

I am enjoying this sleuthing duo of Gage and Kiera. The mysteries aren't complex but the character and society complexities compensate for it. I look forward to the next installment.

I like this series enough to listen to an audiobook narrator I dislike, which is a very high compliment in my head
