This book had a lot going for it (I'm a sucker for castaway stories), but I was disappointed by the fact that there wasn't really that much conflict. Every potential scenario for something bad to happen pretty much resolved itself before it even got started. By the end, it seemed like any other sappy formulaic love story (very Kristen Hannah-esque) so I was ready for it to be over. So much potential, it was sad to see this idea squandered.

Predictable yet an entertaining enough read.

Too many convenient coincidences happened just in the nick-of-time during perilous circumstances and I'm unconvinced a few bottles of shampoo and a few bars of soap would last two plus years even with cautious use.

Still, I will read the sequel because I'm curious where the 'Bones' story will go.

Wow what a beautiful love story. I usually don't read this sort of genre... fantasy/supernatural series are more my thing...
I picked up this book needing a short, feel good novel to fill the gap, and I was pleasantly surprised. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style (I'm not one for alternating character view) but it worked for this book.
It was good to be able to read about how both characters were feeling from their own point of view, but it kind of takes the guess work out of the relationship and makes the story a bit predictable.
Never the less, it was a nice story filled with hardship and passion with a beautiful ending.

I would have rated it 4 had I been able to get past my own dislike of the character switching every chapter... for those of you who don't mind this I highly recommend this book, because it's a truly touching story :)

I really like this book and I wasn't really sure what to expect. I read it on a trip (yes..flying somewhere) and couldn't put it down. Thankfully I was able to get it done before the flight attendants told me I had to shut down my electronics...that is the worst!

Anyway, I did enjoy the story and although this is definitely not a light topic, Garvis-Graves did it in a way that the reader was right there with these two main characters and experiencing the highs and lows of the situation with them.

It was great to see TJ evolve and grow...and then see Anna adjust to that. I won't go into the detail as I think the book needs to be read to be appreciated but the relationship was an evolution of their situation and it completely fit.

Overall, great, engaging read. Likable characters and a story that keeps the reader interested.
