The story of Jo and Cameron had me from the start and as the truths comes out about an ugly pass the story never fails to keep me intrigued. A 4.5 stars read that will have you cringing and wishing that everything will work out at the end regardless at how much time as already been wasted. This story, like a lot of Kennedy Ryan's books, deals with some heavy topics. As always though, she is such a deft storyteller that everything is treated with such thought and care and our couple has a completely satisfying HEA.
If you've read the first two books in this series, and I truly believe you should before starting this one, then you'll feel like you already know both Cam and Jo. But really, you don't. We learned so much more about both our hero and heroine - the pain and trauma Cam experienced as a child; the true long time love and longing Jo had for Cam. They had such a deep friendship and though they both had moments where they emotionally hurt the other, their love for one another sustained them. I was so glad when Cam finally took that last step to work through his trauma because I knew if he didn't there was no way he could truly maintain a romantic relationship with Jo.

I loved this story. I was waiting for Jo to get her man and she finally did! I knew Cam had a hard background from previous books and I just wanted these two to be happy. So glad Kennedy delivered. 5 Stars foreverrrrrrr.

Every time I pick up a Kennedy Ryan novel I know I am taking my own life in my hands. And then she just crushes me. She puts me back together with so much delicacy and deftness. This book is not easy. But boy, is it worth it.
