The idea behind the book -analysing parenting from a cultural perspective - is great, but it really fell short in its execution. The 'Danish way of Parenting' is summarised using the acronym 'Parent' and, while I appreciate this might make it easier for the reader to remember what the elements of Danish parenting are, I don't think this adds anything to the book, if anything it gives the impression that the Danish approach to parenting was incredibly oversimplified.
And what's with the authors referring to themselves in the third person?
I appreciate the book most likely deserves more than I gave it, and that I've probably been harsh in judging it as I subconsciously compared to another book who does a cross-cultural analysis of parenting taking another country as reference and that I found exceptional in concept and execution...too bad for the authors.

Thoughts after reading: The Danes wouldn't be so happy if they stepped on those legos they invented more often.

It's a parenting book and like all parenting books it is full of things you probably already know but needed reminding of. There is a lot of good information here, not just for parents, but for all people. I'm leery of these sort of blanket "----- does it better", but I actually enjoyed this.

so good to explore this way of life & take notes on how I can better influence the children around me (and the child inside me, still!). super short and digestible read.
