The first book of this series is definitely the best one.
I do love the storylines of these books though. Wouldn’t read again, but definitely worth a read if you want an easy book to read.

Not what I expected from Miss Lorraine. Defy You is more easy read. There is that forbidden romance: best friend' sister, age gap. I was expecting so much angst/ drama. But it turnes out to be min angst/ drama.

The chemistry is also forced. There is not much vulnerable/ tender moment. Overall this is OK read.

The heat between these 2 is undeniable!!! The sexual tension is real!!! I loved the back and forth and these 2 characters were amazing!!! The very beginning of the series never prepared me for them. Im not giving any spoilers away but I really recommend this book! This is my honest opinion. I had the pleasure of a lovely ARC ! A hot read!

Defy You is the third book in the Rebel Ink series. It could be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading the first two books first as those characters play key roles in this book. This book is told from dual points of view which is my favorite writing style, since we get to know and feel what both characters are feeling and thinking.

We met Spike in the other two books, but Kassie (Kas) turns up in the second book, and we realize she is Zach's sister. Spike is Zach's best friend. Kas has had a rough life with a drug addicted mother. Spike has his own battles of his past which means he doesn't trust women anymore.

Spike realizes the trouble Kas is in and tries to help her, however Kas is used to fending for herself and fights him along the way. Can Kas accept Spike's and her brother's help before it's to late? Can Spike change his ways for Kas, and open his heart again?

I loved this book so much! Between the character banter, and angst between the two characters. To their growth development in the book.

I can't wait to read the next one in the series!

This was a fantastic addition to the rebel ink series, which I swear gets better and better with each book! As the youngest of 6 siblings the "Brother's Best Friend" trope has always been one of my favorites. I loved the chemistry between Spike and Kassie, they had a fantastic push/pull dynamic that had me cheering them on fairly early on in the story. This was one of those books that you need to read when you know you have time to read it in one sitting, the plot pulled me in and by the time I finished it was 2 am. I highly recommend this book and this whole series!

Defy You by Tracy Lorraine is book 3 in the Rebel Inc series. We met Zach (and Biff) in Hate You, and then Titch (and Danni -Zach's younger sister) in Trick You.

Well in this book we have Spike and Kas (Zach's baby half-sister...I'm guessing she's around 18-21ish?). This is an age gap, kinda forbidden romance. Let me start off by saying it was hot AF. Like,

After the ending of Trick You, I knew Spike and Kas’s story was going to be a rollercoaster and I was right, this book had me hooked from the start.

Kas is in trouble, she owes someone money, and needs it quickly. Her only option is to work at a strip club, and it’s all going well until her older brother’s best friend sees her on stage, and promptly drags her out. Spike is livid with Kas, and knows he needs to tell Zach, but she makes him promise not to. As part of their deal, she moves in with him, after Spike sees where she's living, and despite their age gap, their attraction grows. But Spike has been burned by a past love and thinks all women can’t be trusted so has always kept them at arm’s length, and as Kas is his best friend’s younger sister, she’s even more off limits. But Kas isn’t going to take that lightly, she sees something she wants, Spike, and she goes for it, whatever the consequences, because that’s how she’s had to grow up. As they grow closer, sparks begin to fly, but what happens when the person Kas owes catches up with her? And how will Zach react when he finds out about their relationship?

Spike and Kas’s relationship was incredible, although there was a lot of back and forth to start with, they truly began to lean on each other and sought comfort in their times of need. Spike had reservations about anything to do with love, but his feelings for Kas snuck up on him, because although he tried his hardest to keep her out, he slowly realised he had no choice. He was so protective of her from the start, it was a clue as to how deep he was already in. Kas had learnt not to rely on anyone but herself her whole life and wanted to deal with her problem on her own, but Spike wouldn’t let that happen. I loved her independence, but also her ability to know when to seek help and reassurance, from Spike or Zach. She pushed Spike’s limits so many times, the poor guy stood no chance.

The Rebel Ink series keeps getting better, Kas and Spike’s story was a great instalment and I cannot wait for D’s in Play You next!

I really love the Rebel Ink series! Spike is an artist at Rebel Ink and a good friend of Zach’s. Kas is Zach’s sister that he didn’t know about until recently. Like Zach and Titch before him, Spike is an alpha male who will protect his girl at all costs.

Unlike Zach, Kas has had a really challenging life. She’s had to fight for everything she has and always keep her head up. Kas is proud and doesn’t take any handouts, so when a bully from her neighbourhood comes to collect a debt, she refuses to seek help from Zach. Unbeknownst to Kas, the place she picks for employment is a frequent hangout for the guys of Rebel Ink. When Spike walks in and sees her, he is not pleased.

What will Kas do? Will she submit to Spike’s demands or fight, just like she has her whole life?
