Did not expect it to be as dark as it was. Was entertaining, but did drag along in some places.

The book was pretty good. As an older book you can credit it for a lot of tropes you see in the genre in modern fiction. Due to this, it's predictable plot line can be explained. The story still caught my attention and I almost read it in one sitting.

A Classic SK! A must pick up SK!!

4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Pet Sematary proves again what's firmly established, that Sk is the 'Master of Horror' of our times. This book is a perfect example of king's wonderful story telling style which gets under your skin, in your head and totally shakes you up!

It was a hell of a disturbing book, thanks to the fact that some parts of the book are based on the real life events which happened with the author and in the story king explores the possibility of 'what if'. What if certain things which he mentions in the intro to the book didn't turn out as they did... and presents as answer, in the form of this book, his wonderful imagination!

So the story starts pretty normal, the sweet little Creed family arrives in the town and their good-natured neighbours tell them about the pet sematary, a burial ground where for years kids have been burying their pets 'used up' by the road.
But but but...Pet Sematary is not the whole mystery but what is beyond...
What is beyond the pet sematary holds a power...all at once it gets hold of you and makes you make up the sweetest smelling reasons in the world...it holds a power in the same way grief and desperation do over humans ...making them attempt to undo the grief by any means possible. It has been portrayed very vividly in the book as misfortunes befall Louis Creed and he desperately tries to fix everything.
It was truly a horrifying, gut wrenching tale which kept me hooked to the end.

And in the end, a note to the author:

Dear Stephen King,
Ohhh man you are INSANE!!
When I was in middle of this book, I was thinking, well that's it, enough Stephen King for this month but now after finishing Pet Sematary I want to read more n more from you. Only you can do this...creeping the hell out of me and still making me want to pick more books by you!
