What a great way to end a series. And all the twist. I love prudence and cannot wait to read about her adventures.

Aw, I stalled out a little on the last book, and this one didn't read that much better, but was still delightful. I feel like there was a lot of good stuff there, but some of the logic towards the end was questionable. Luckily, though, it did answer some of the questions I had about how this fit into the Finishing School world. I enjoyed that.

And it's not that I didn't enjoy this book, it's just not as much as the first three.

Reading the whole series was so much fun. Timeless was a great conclusion to the series and I enjoyed it very much. I liked the storyline okay, but I really was in it for the LOLs. Sometimes comic relief is all we crave for. All the characters are just hillarious and fun and the world building is quite imaginative. An enjoyable, steampunk take on vampires and werewolves overall and a great, diverting read. I'm hoping Carriger's other books are as good, because I'm planning to read a lot of them.

This was delicious. After I finished I immediately thought to myself, "I want more. I need to know!" And coincidentally as I have just discovered on Garriger's blog, there's going to be another series featuring Prudence as the heroine. Sweeeet. Biffy better be in the second series otherwise it would just be too heartbreaking.

An excellent conclusion to the series, with callbacks to all four previous storylines that tie up together into an elegant resolution overall.

I happened to be reading this during a particularly bad bout of wintry insomnia, so I ended up using this book as a way to calm my brain down and get it to sleep. But! The back 40% of this book had me absolutely gripped. I teared up, I gasped, I powered through it in one unproductive afternoon.

There's a lot of machinations in this last installment. The pieces are really moving. Emotionally, those kinds of plots have a tendency to sweep me up and overwhelm me a little bit. This one is no exception. But by the end, it's mostly positive emotion, especially when it comes to my Favorite Character, so in that regard it's a win!

There were some things that I felt like I wanted the characters to deal with more on the page. Specifically for one storyline, there was enough of a betrayal there that I felt the action at the end didn't give me enough closure to sew up the wound. An on-page tete-a-tete between the two characters involved would have been enough to conclude it for me, but that was missing. And although Alexia did a lot of emoting in this book (arguably more than in any other from this series), I wanted more from her emotionally when all is revealed.

However, all things considered, I found this ending incredibly romantic and satisfactory in all other regards. In fact, I came over all floaty near the end and didn't really come down from that for a hot minute. Definitely a solid series, and one I'll be adding to my collection soon.

There were parts that were really annoying but in the end it all was tied up in a nice way, so I can say I am satisfied. The humor and absurdity levels were (as usual) good too.
I can't wait to read [b:Prudence|12799420|Prudence (The Custard Protocol, #1)|Gail Carriger|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393521574s/12799420.jpg|17947731] and find out in what mischief Alexia's daughter is going to get into. :)

I am so, so sorry to have finished the last installment of this series. I've taken 4 years to read it and loved every moment, including the anticipation of the next and will be very sad not to have it to look forward to anymore. I will read her others, but always keep a special place in my heart for Alexia.

Steam punk in general is so fun, but when you add the supernatural elements Carriger gives us, the fun is magnified. This, the final “chapter”, was satisfying, but I was left wanting more. That want was more powerful because I don’t see any reason Carriger couldn't just continue the series. No matter where she lives Alexia will be amusing and entertaining. Heck, I’d be happy to read 20 more installments about Prudence! Not to mention the fact that if this series is really over we will never know what Prudence prefers to be called. Wait! Maybe Carriger is planning a series about her.

Or Biffy! A whole series devoted to his time as Pack Master. I wonder if she has given any thought to that idea? Hmmm...maybe we should talk to her. :)
