In 100 and some pages, this book has world building, a back story, clear bonds between characters, and a HFN ending.
I like it when a short book has range.
I will say it would have been easier to start off if I'd read the short that came before this, but my internet connection was weird, and I couldn't find it.

I got the omnibus of this one and the other story that goes with it and I really loved it! The plot wasn't amazing or anything but I really loved the world-building and the spice??? SO GOOD. Maeve Black is the queen of monster/paranormal romance!

Wow. This book just hit so many of my buttons. It was romantic and hot, which I always love in a book. But also it was just so much fun to read. I really wish that this book was longer because I felt like I was missing some really important moments of their relationship developed that I wish I could have seen. But regardless, I really enjoyed the time I spent reading this one, it was just lovely.

This was good but I spent way too much time hitting up the glossary in this book. I know it was a Novella and the author had to keep it short but including that many new terms that pertained to the world they created, was rough. It felt like I was missing a huge piece because nothing was explained and I had no idea what was really going on. I kept checking to make sure I didn’t miss a previous book. I did like it, it just could have been better with explanations in the actual story.
