While I have followed this author around social media for years this is my first foray into her worlds. If for sure won’t be my last either.
This story was written, and well crafted. It’s the second generation of her Inked world but you totally don’t feel lust stepping into it here with Pike and Gigi.
Be aware though that while this bill ends with the couple together there is a overarching storyline in the book the runs alongside the romance and that is not finished in this book. You will need Burn also to complete their FULL story.
This book was performed by Jason Clarke who could have skipped the southern accent her doesn’t possess. (The author could have gone for someone with a natural southern accent also but here we are)
And Samantha Brentmoor who is such a talented narrator. I very much appreciate her talent

It took me about a third of the book to realize this is a spin off series/continuation of another series this author has written, it was never mentioned in the Amazon or Goodreads summary. I was really into the book for a bit and then I noticed the pacing started to feel way off. The “climax” of the book took like 3 pages to be resolved while the whole meeting the family thing took like 10. This does end on a cliffhanger, sort of. Not sure if I want to read the second book. It having about half of the reviews this book has makes it seem like a lot of readers didn’t want to continue on with the story.
Now for a little rant with some spoilers.
