The storyline of this book had the potential to be a great thriller. However, it fell flat and I found myself having to make great effort to just get through the book and not give up on it. I was disappointed in the author's inability to take a twist in the plot and develop it. I was glad when I finally turned the last page so that I could move on to a new book.

This book did an excellent job at really reeling me in and scaring the hell out of me... there was one particular moment that I almost had to put the book down because I was so engrossed in the book that I felt the scary moment was happening to me. A good read overall.

Although I had worked out fairly quickly the true nature of what was going on with the sleeping women, this in no way spoiled the book for me. In fact, it's one of the few books that have genuinely scared me (perhaps reading it in one sitting at one am in my parents spare room aided this). I generally dislike shock endings, feeling that they are often tacked on or trying too hard but this one really was brilliant. This is a very incoherent, 2am-just-finished-the-book review but in short I loved it and urge any fans of mysteries/ghost stories to pick it.

I was neutral on this book. I found the first half of the book to be slow with the second half picking up in pace. I was curious about this book because the author is a clinical psychologist. However, the book did not weave into the mysteries of the mind as much as I hoped.
