9/10 What a powerful read. 💜 Emotional, hard to read at times, but raw and explores a truth not often talked about. I enjoyed reading this first half of this in chapters and then taking a break but by the halfway point, I found myself engrossed in knowing if justice was served and flew through it. Absolutely one I would recommend. 

My only complaint is that I wish this was written as a memoir. I know it was “based on real events” and probably was fiction because of confidentiality etc, but I found myself constantly asking did this really happen to her or if this was part of the fiction. 

Brought up a lot of feelings of how I might feel if I wasn’t believed, didn’t speak up, was so feared for my life etc. Still such an emotional and powerful read that I will not forget. ❤️‍🩹

I know this book is heavily influenced by the author's real life, and knowing that made the book all the more devastating. Sure, it wasn't the most beautifully written, but it had a good message and uplifting ending.

This was such an important read. This book told a real story of a brutalized girl, her strength, resilience & courage coming forward. A hard, emotional but amazing read.
