This book, just the like the four others in the series, was amazing. It took a minute to get into but when you did it was so good, I couldn’t put it down.
But that being said, this is the worst book in the series. It took me the longest to read and that was mostly because of pacing issues. This book is a lot slower than the others. There is also three point of views so it gets very confusing at parts.
But my favourite part of this book was learning about Juliette’s backstory. This was so interesting and done in such a good way. It was one of the best things this book did. And it even made me like Juliette/Ella better.

In conclusion,
Other than a few problems this book was amazing. I would recommend.

i don’t know how tahereh keeps one-upping herself but she’s done it again. the character development, the plot development and the TWISTS. so much going on. so good, i may not survive the ending of this series.

This review is based on enjoyment rather than literary merit. This book kept me reading until 3am on a work night because I was so invested in what happened to the characters (mainly Warner, though, realistically). It was tense and suspenseful. If you can get over the complete in total shift in the plot of this series--it really felt like book four started a different series--then it's worth a read. Or maybe I'm just in love with a fictional man. Either way.

A great addition to this fantastic series.

Can’t wait to read the rest.

Exiting, fast paced and action filled throughout the entire book.

This one was alot heavier than the previous books of the series in my opinion, with the content delving into multiple deep topics and introducing revelation after revelation. I loved Kenji's pov within this book and I can't wait to see how his relationship with Nazeera grows. Although I find it annoying that Anderson doesn't stay dead, I understand how it would tie into the plot due to the consequences of Sonya and Sara's capture. I also think that Evie's death was too quick and that it was too easy for Ella to roam the facility.
