“Happiness does not happen. Happiness must be uncovered, separated from the skin of pain. It must be claimed. Kept close. Protected.”

I'm not even joking when I say that this book was actually good. Like... Bro. I was not expecting this book to really hook me into this story. This book is the best in the series, by far. Kenji has a POV, Warner has a POV, Juliette has a POV. The things that happen in this book were so surprising, and now I'm invested. I wonder how this series will end. I was not expecting to fall in love with Kenji and Warner, but now I love those two characters so much. It's a great feeling to end up enjoying something you didn't think you'd enjoy. And now, it's almost over.

This book, just the like the four others in the series, was amazing. It took a minute to get into but when you did it was so good, I couldn’t put it down.
But that being said, this is the worst book in the series. It took me the longest to read and that was mostly because of pacing issues. This book is a lot slower than the others. There is also three point of views so it gets very confusing at parts.
But my favourite part of this book was learning about Juliette’s backstory. This was so interesting and done in such a good way. It was one of the best things this book did. And it even made me like Juliette/Ella better.

In conclusion,
Other than a few problems this book was amazing. I would recommend.

Best book in the whole series BY FAR. I truly though ignite me would take the cake but this book actually killed me.
The description of Emmaline was so horrific and it touched me so deeply
this book is fantastic

This review is based on enjoyment rather than literary merit. This book kept me reading until 3am on a work night because I was so invested in what happened to the characters (mainly Warner, though, realistically). It was tense and suspenseful. If you can get over the complete in total shift in the plot of this series--it really felt like book four started a different series--then it's worth a read. Or maybe I'm just in love with a fictional man. Either way.

A great addition to this fantastic series.

Can’t wait to read the rest.

Exiting, fast paced and action filled throughout the entire book.
