Good, not great. It's not often I don't give Mayberry a good 4, 4.5 stars, but this one felt - though enjoyable - less engaging overall. I think I went in biased because I'd cried through two of her older ones (rereads) just yesterday - when she's fully invested in making you feel, she makes it happen, and this didn't get all the way there. I also think, in general, that unrequited romances need more space for development than a novella can give you - I'd love to have seen Heath's changing feelings properly, considering I still felt the imbalance of it even after they got together for real.

I'm always going to love the way the men and women in her novels interact, though; there's something to be said about knowing you can expect maturity and warmth and fondness as you head into a romance novel.

Definitely not rereading material, though.

I really needed to read something as charmingly undemanding as this. Sometimes the romance genre stretches belief with characters who don't feel like real people and don't behave like actual human beings would, but this was a great example of treating characters like living, breathing creations. Heath and Andie's romance was sweet and satisfying.

This was a really fluffy short, sweet and easy read.

Andie has been in love with her big brothers best friend, Heath, for as long as she can remember, where as he only sees her as a little sister.

One night when Andie is drunk and wallowing in self pity that the man she loves is completely oblivious to her and her feelings, she fills out a form to win a wedding... for a moment pretending that she actually had a relationship with Heath.

This book is funny and lighthearted, and it was beautiful to watch Heath all in love with one of his best friends.

BEST story of the series and a great way to end it. Andie and Heath were perfect for each other. Their story, their personalities, all of it. was perfection. Just a super read.

A favourite author of mine. Lovely story as always. I love the trope of one character having been in love with the other forever and the other character oblivious. Some may find it a bit cheesy, but that's okay, I like cheesy.

This is a well written, short and sweet story about two good friends turned lovers, and the heroines unrequited love for the hero.

An die has known Heath for almost her whole life and has been in love with him for half of it. The trouble is that Heath only sees her as his best friends little sister and not the woman that she has become. When Andie and Heath are accident,y entered into a wedding gateway contest things begin to shift. One kiss will rock their world and change everything. The question is, can Heath see Andie as anything other than the kid sister he always thought of her as?

While this book is relatively short, Ms. Mayberry did a fabulous job of writing a story that was complete and didn't make you feel as though you were missing chunks of the storyline. The characters for well written and the dialogue flowed very naturally. Overall, it was a very enjoyable story!

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion*

Andie is one of the lads. She works construction and doesn't really do girly. She has always had a crush on her boss Heath but he leans towards tiny, curvy, dark-haired girls whereas Andie is tall and blonde with no curves to speak of.

At the Valentine's Ball Andie gets all dressed up but Heath doesn't even notice. Full of self-pity (and booze), Andie enters the Great Wedding Giveaway by writing all her dreams about Heath as if they were reality. Of course, the inevitable happens and Andie and Heath become finalists.

This reminded me of another book, that heroine worked in the office of the construction site but otherwise the unrequited love thing seemed similar.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that Andie didn't have to change her appearance or personality for Heath to find her attractive, he didn't really pay much attentions when she was all dressed up. A solid three stars, no drama just an easy read.

This is a sweet read. I really enjoyed watching Andie create such a mess, then seeing Heath try to help her out and she scrambles to clean it up. A great read!
