First Thought When Finished: Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! Holy abrupt ending and cliffhanger. Plus there are only going to be 3 in the series. I am CRUSHED!

Straight from Sylvia's Webpage: A Taste of Seduction-The final installment of the Renegade Angels trilogy.

Story Talk:
Paul straightened, raking Elijah with a sweeping glance. “I’ve never seen a lycan shift so fast.” “Betcha never seen a lycan who’s nailing a vampress either,” Vash said. “Syre’s second, no less. It’s a whole new world.”― Sylvia Day, A Hunger So Wild

I am going to admit that I marked the book down a bit because of the abrupt ending. I really enjoyed the story but I don't deal well with abrupt/cliffhanger endings. A Hunger So Wild picked up right where A Touch of Crimson left off and continued on the story so very well that I was mesmerized from the beginning. This is my favorite world of Sylvia Day. I think she has built a wonderful world and the overall story arch is really hook worthy. I can't wait to see how it ties all together.

Character Talk:
Strong Man: “There was nothing so attractive as a powerful, handsome, and self-assured man.”― Sylvia Day, A Hunger So Wild

Strong Woman: “Oh, I’ll fight you,” she promised, her eyes clear of shadows. “That’s the way I roll.”― Sylvia Day, A Hunger So Wild

I love the characters in this series. I really fell in love with Elijah in Touch of Crimson and even more so in A Hunger So Wild. I was surprised how much I loved Vash though. She was fun, smart, and conflicted. I loved that Elijah embraced all parts of her! (Not a spoiler this is a romance after all): I was sad when we didn't get to read the ending coupling between them. That was probably smoking hot! You also get to see lots of the other characters from the series. I think it is because I am so in love with the characters that I am sad about there only being 3 books. I am excited about Syre's book being next! He deserves an HEA!

Audio Talk:
Narrated by Rachel Vivette/Running Time 9 hours 4 minutes

I was concerned when they switched from Luke Daniels but Rachel hit it out of the freaking park. I thought her pacing, tone, emotions, and voices were just spot on. I am not sure if she is doing the 3rd book but I am going to search out more books that she narrates. This was just that good!

Final Thought: Sad there are only going to be 3 in the series. I might have to break down and read the novellas to get my fill!

A Hunger So WIld, Renegade Angels #2, by Sylvia Day
Grade: C+

“You’ll take me am I am. You’ll want me as I am. Or you won’t have me at all.”

A Hunger So Wild is the second novel in Sylvia Day’s Renegade Angels series and picks a few weeks after A Touch of Crimson ended. I have not read A Touch of Crimson and really wished that I had because it took me almost the entire book to figure out what was going on. If I didn’t like both Vashti and Elijah so much I wouldn’t have been able to finish the book. I felt that there could have been more backstory given at the beginning to catch the reader up because there is a so much important stuff that happened that was impacting characters in A Hunger So Wild that happened in A Touch of Crimson.

As I mentioned before I really liked Vashti and Elijah so much. I thought the struggle they had to go through to have their relationship and at times my heart broke for them both. I had a problem with their first sexual experience and it really bothered me. I felt that if the roles were reversed it wouldn’t have been able to happen. Vashti completely violates Elijah and his trust so badly that I almost stopped reading. Vashti did redeem herself later but it put a taint on the whole book that I couldn’t shake off.

I really love the idea of this book with angels, lycans and vampires closely tied together with their history. I really like all of the characters in the book and I’m very excited for Syre’s book which comes out next. I hope this book answers a lot of questions that weren’t answered. I really disliked the ending and felt that it just stopped very abruptly when things were not finished. I felt that some of the questions I had about Vashti and what she went through, which was a big part of the plot, weren’t answered and it bothers me that they probably won't. I liked this book but the issues that I did have hindered me from really loving it.

Full Review posted on Book Lovin' Mamas

I received a complimentary copy of "A Hunger so Wild" through NetGalley from the publisher for an honest review.
May I say...I think I about fainted when I saw this book post to Netgalley.  I feel like I was waiting forever for July to get here and when I got an early copy of this book...I screamed.  My hubby and oldest daughter were probably pondering if they should call a mental ward or not.
I knew I would love this book too, once I started reading it.  It's on Elijah!  If you have the read the first book,  you know who Elijah is if you haven't read the first book, what are you waiting for now?
Elijah has left the Sentinels and now is running the pack of Lycans as Alpha.  He's the best for the job.  He never thought, he would end up hooking up with the Vampires though to find out what's going on with the vampires and why some are coming down with a disease that makes them go crazy.  (these crazy vamps are wraiths)  Elijah, also never expected to have the second most powerful vampire approach him for his help.

This book helped me remember what I love about reading about wolf shifters! A Hunger So Wild continues where A Touch of Crimson left off. Elijah is a hot, sexy alpha wolf shifter and Vash is a tough Vamp with a soft side that few people see, and their being together is not a good idea, especially since the lycans and the vamps hate each other. This book gives more insight into the vamps, the angels and the lycans so that you don't really know who the "bad guy" is and may even start to think there isn't really a bad guy. I look forward to learning more about all 3 groups as the series progresses and hope to continue to read about all of the couples to see where their relationships go. I highly recommend this series, especially to Black Dagger Brotherhood lovers. It's not quite as good but it definitely helps fill in the void while we wait for more BDB books to be released!

So freakin' annoyed that Sylvia Day appears to have abandoned this series... Way to not keep your readers happy. Especially when the sneak peak in the back of this book claims the next one should have been released Feb of 2013!!!

I have read the novels and novellas / short stories in the Renegade Angels Series in this order:

0.5 – A Dark Kiss of Rapture (prequel / novella)
1 – A Touch of Crimson
1.1 – Adrian (bonus material)
1.5 – A Caress of Wings (novella)
2 – A Hunger So Wild

The world of the Renegade Angels was well-thought of and beautifully written, I would gladly escape, immerse, and get lost in their world and forget about the passing time and reality. How can I not? I have gotten to know each one of them and I fell in love. There's Adrian & Lindsay, Raze & Kim, Trevor & Siobhan, Elijah & Vashti, and Syre & Karin. This alternate world of angels, Sentinels, Fallen, lycans, and vampires is oozing with Alpha males, the perfect gift to women. And the heroines are strong women who can defend their men and die for them.

The only flaw in the world of the Renegade Angels — it is unfinished. I am hanging on, waiting for their stories to continue. Because there is more. The Renegade Angels are not done telling their love stories and fate.
