Reviews with content warning for Sexual assault - Restless Slumber

This has been the first time in my life that a book - or rather the ending of a book - has made me sick to my stomach. And by that I mean I literally felt like throwing up at the end. Granted, it was 2 a.m., which usually makes me a bit melodramatic to begin with, but I am still convinced I will never be able to forget that scene even though I really, really want to.

what was the reason?????? im sorry that last chapter was aweful i dont like sa for plot

anyway even before that i really dislike fortuna. shes all over the place. her feelings her thoughts its like ten ppl in one.

and dont get me started on the magic system bec nothing is explained. like at all. initially it was ppl got so scared they died from heart attack or hit themselves on wall/rock/something or died of starvation bec they were lost in nightmare but now.. wth is going on??? they die instantly it happened in book one once with jassin but i let it go. to base her whole powers on that is weak. not to mention if she can do that why did she get beat up so often? yeah weak

i literally prefer any other guy over collith like sometimes i wish a reverse harem bec fin, laurie, adam and oliver are just better options.

Why that ending tho… I feel like the plotlines weren’t well incorporated in this book but the character work is so strong and I feel like I’m starting to really care about all of them, especially Fortuna. For all that the story disappointed me at times (I seriously hope she actually hold onto to some important plot threads and fills the new plotholes she’s just created in this one) I’m definitely sticking around to read more.

read the first book and really liked it, enough to go ahead and buy the following 3. however, this one was actually painful to finish, and I've considered DNFing multiple times.

I think I've become addicted to this series. I was completely here for all the twists and turns that this one took like why am I so excited for the next book bffr.
