This book is a wonderful scary mystery! Three kids are kidnapped in Arizona and they are the exact same ages and have the exact same names as the Greystone children in Ohio. Then Mom goes on a trip and doesn't return. The Greystone kids have to figure out where Mom is and how to save her!
I'm really looking forward to the second book in this series!

I picked this book up because I really liked Haddix's series called "The Hidden". The premise of this story sounded very original and I'm always up for a mystery. And while I liked where it went, and was keen to keep reading, sometimes events seemed a little to contrived, a little too odd. The end will leave you wanting to know what happens next and I am interested to see where she'll take these characters, but not enough to pick up the second book.

Fun middle grade mystery filled with secrets and codes. Emma was my favorite character; she’s inquisitive with a knack for problem solving. Great cast of characters and sibling dynamics. Looking forward to reading more Margaret Peterson Haddix books!

I guess I forgot how good this was. Also that there were sequels. Whoops.

An exciting sci-fi novel for middle-school kids and advanced elementary readers. Older readers may enjoy the story but if they read with a critical eye, they will likely notice some weak areas of the story and characters.

I love this fantasy world where it seems like everything is opposite. My favorite part was the characters and the family. It was a fun mystery that ended on a cliffhanger.
