I love Enola Holmes. To have a new book now makes me so happy, like meeting with an old, dear friend and picking up right where we left off as though no time has passed at all. The ultimate comfort.

Great series. So glad that Springer has come back from hiatus, even if it did take Netflix to make it happen. Apparently one of my wheelhouses is progressive women in Victorian settings. Enola's internal monologue is both spunky and funny, and the forward and afterword by Sherlock Holmes are just delicious.

2.5 rounded up. Lacks the charm and connection of earlier books. Feels kind of rushed and disjointed. I didn’t hate it, but mostly it felt uninspired. Which is unfortunate.
