**Probably more like 2.5 stars**

This whole book felt like an overly long set up for the Heroes of Olympus series. This book could have been like 200 pages shorter and nothing material would have been impacted. I feel like Leo's point of view and the premise of the book were the major saving graces. I really liked the Percy Jackson books and found this book to be a bit of a let down.
