I enjoyed this book but found the ending too abrupt. I was reading the ebook and thought that I had a corrupted file that cut off the ending! The plight of women in Korea is a well-known fact but reading about the details of the everyday struggles in Kim Jiyoung's life makes me wonder if things have improved somewhat by now. The book stops at 2016 and one can only hope Korean women have more opportunities and freedom by now. I remember what my Korean tour guide told me, when I visited Korea 5 years ago -- not to believe what I see in K-dramas of emancipated women having exciting careers and having a lot of say in the home. The reality is far from that. Sigh...
