My favorite of the whole series by far. And that ending! Oh the ending. If by some chance I find some poor fellow who will marry me and we decide to have children and one of them happens to be a girl, I want her to be everything Flavia de Luce is. I don't think I've ever loved a character more than my Flavia.

I think one of the reasons I am enjoying these books so much is that Flavia leads the life I wanted to as a child!

Yep, I did it. Five stars. This book is by far the best in the series to date and I am going to be holding my breath and tapping my foot until the next one.

Unfortunately this narration makes it hard to follow the story: when the story is narrated I have to turn the volume up, but when the characters speak, OMG I almost turn deaf; and that singing… Definitely not for me lol
Still not sure whether to see this as a MG or YA book. Certain details seem to me to indicate it to be YA, but the tone in which the story is told, the way the characters speak, certainly give it more of a MG feel. The mysteries are interesting me less, but that ending! Even though I'm not completely surprised by it, it is definitely making me curious about the next book!

One of my favorite mystery series and the best yet. Listening to this on audible is a total treat as the narrator is amazing - perfect Flavia! A bit of a cliff hanger at the end.
