I'm sad to say I really didn't like it. i thought it was too trivial and couldn't feel anuthing for the characters. Oh well, at least I tried!

3.5. I really wanted to love this book, and maybe if I lived in a 1900’s England I may have. But the language was far too tedious.

So much better reading it as an adult. I got so much more out of it.

I love it, I love it, I love it!
Such an unexpected plot twist with an expected outcome(but still a bit uncertain until the very end which makes Austen's writing so great)!
For some, the book might seem a bit boring until you've read the first half of it, but after that it gets exciting and you cannot stop reading. What I really love is the way Austin portrays her characters and deceives even her readers into thinking they are just like they seem on the surface to others, but makes their character grow in such a great manner as you progress toward the end.
To me, her writing style is a bit slow but all of a sudden captivating, so my next obvious step is to start reading Sense and sensibility (written BEFORE Pride and prejudice).
P.S. the books was published in 1813, and it's dissapointing to see how people haven't changed a bit since(all those rumors and prejudice about everyone), but also hopeful considering the fact main characters end up being happy despite of what everyone thinks or says.

I’ve always loved this story and I’m so glad I got around to reading it this year. I am notorious for marking up books I read with ink, but this book kept me so engaged that I barely defaced it.
My favorite characters include: Elizabeth (of course), Mr. Bennett, Mr. Bingley, Mr. Collins, Mr. Darcy (of course).
This love story is the epitome of miscommunication interfering with happiness. I would recommend! 5/5 ⭐️

Oh god, really. Jane Austen's novels are truly the metropop of 19th century. Pride and Prejudice is just a very well-narrated story about middle-class people trying to find their way into marriage. Also, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy miiiiiight find their happiness sooner if both aren't such a tsundere.
