This is the first novel I’ve read by Beena Khan and it definitely did not disappoint. It was a slow-burn, mafia, age-gap romance between Ehva Rossi and Salvi Moretti. Ehva is the daughter of a Don and a criminal attorney, much oblivious to the mafia world and Salvi Moretti is the Don of one of the five ruling families of New York.

Ehva goes out one night to a casino with her then boyfriend, Adamo, who loses a game of poker and is unable to pay what he owes, and offers Ehva as payment for his debt. He gives Ehva to Salvi, the Blue Eyed Devil, who owns the casino.

Soon after, Ehva finds out her brother has sold her hand in marriage to Salvi. The story develops around their relationship and what their marriage means in the mafia community.

This is the first book in a duet so be prepared for it to end on a cliff hanger...and it’s a really good one!

This book was so good!! OMG! I am obsessed with everything about it! From the plot, to the romance and to everything in between; this book has me obsessively reading right until the end because I needed to know what would happen or might happen!

Yes, I’ve helplessly fallen in love with Salvi and I sure y’all will too!

Can’t wait for book two to release!

The Blue-Eyed Devil is incredible and dark romance. I love Salvi & Ehva story. But if you going to read it there is triggers through out the book.

Ehva is an good woman who has always been a faithful Catholic woman. She also a criminal lawyer. But her family treats her badly. You might not see a heroine at first but her strong and courage will show up.

Salvi is the don of mafia. He is ruthless killer. But at the same time Ehva will bring out this soft side of him which you don’t expect. People fear him and as you read you will see all the reason why he does things.

The characters are wonderful. Ehva and Salvi are completely opposite but their chemistry is fantastic. Beena Khan does amazing job with storyline. Their journey has many ups and downs, but their will not end in the way you will think. I love the ending of book. And I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Lucifer / Eve myth retelling
⚠️CHECK TRIGGERS⚠️

OMG I am in love with this book!!! I was a little nervous because I didn’t fall in love with Salvi like everyone else did in the Beauty and the Beauty duo but this was so good. It’s the ultimate battle of good versus evil. It had me on the edge of my seat and I had no idea where the story was going. And let me tell you the spice in this one was

Once again I was persuaded to read a book by a 30 second tiktok video that seemed entertaining. Do I regret it? Eh, sort of. The plot wasn’t all that bad but it was the way it was written. It was straight out of an episode of ‘YOU’ on Netflix. Major Joe Goldberg vibes.

Beena Khan is the queen of retellings. The Blue-Eyed Devil is based on the story of Lucifer and Eve, and it has a mafia twist. I'm a sucker for a good mafia dark romance, so I was excited to get into this story. If you like dark romances, this is a great story.

Ehva (love the spelling!) ends up on the wrong of a deal with the devil. A blue-eyed devil, actually, named Salvi, who is a Don of a mafia family. Ehva tries to keep her distance, but we all know once you've struck the interest of a mafia Don, that's it.

This book is dark. There is violence. There is spice. Some torture and abuse thrown in there, also.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A modern day Lucifer & Eve story turned up to 100! These two are complete opposites which made for a very intriguing story! The sexual tension between these two bleeds through the pages and I loved that we got to see a new side to Salvi! Ehva’s background is completely heart breaking and seeing her go through that and still manage to to be this sweet soft amazing woman was a great addition. You can always count on this author to bring you all the dark and intense aspects to her stories and this one was no exception. I’m really looking forward to the conclusion of their story because that cliffy was a bit brutal and I need to know what’s going to happen next!

A sinful retelling of Adam and Eve.. add in the Devil! Give this book a full 5 stars amazing story line and off the charts steamy. The Devil sure brings the heat. Be warned it does end on a cliffhanger, but one that left me excited for the next book! I highly recommend this book 100%!!

"The Blue-Eyed Devil" is the first book in the Devil's Lair series by Beena Khan. The book is lightly based on the myth of Lucifer and Eve and has an angel vs demon and mafia trope. The book centers around Ehva Rossi, a religious woman who studies law and has an unfaithful boyfriend, and Salvi Moretti, a devil who enters Ehva's life under unfortunate circumstances. Ehva is a good woman. She's innocent and kind and does not suspect Salvi of being a bad person, however, Salvi has revenge-seeking motives.

If you enjoy Italian mafia books, then this series is for you. Readers will hate how much they love Salvi even though he has devious motives. I enjoyed the plot and the steam between the characters is off the charts. The dual POV was written in a unique way and the book ends with an interesting cliffhanger.
