The meaning is “keep the distance from your mother in law”  . I’ve approached Vanessa kelly with the kendriks … with more more laughter… so far I’m already bored with the stanton

The main female character, Meredith, was interesting with enough depth to make it worth struggling through the novel. I want to say that her personality changed from her first appearance to the rest of the novel (because her actions sometimes seem incongruous), but I believe that isn’t true: we just see more of her as the novel develops.
On the other hand there’s Stephen, the male protagonist, whose personality is lacking, to put it kindly.
You could make it a drinking game out of his descriptions, taking a drink every time he’s described as masculine/a predator/dominant. Unfortunately, by the end of the book you would be dead.

The ending felt rushed and the entire novel could’ve been better if it had been shorter and better written.

I enjoyed this more than I expected. I'd tried this author before (Sex and the Single Earl) and it was only a 3-star. But this one I liked.

Interesting premise but the writing style didn't really do it for me.

it was okay, had a lot of potential with some brief moments of awesomeness shining through. wouldn't go out of my way to recommend, but not a bad read. though some lines had me giggling (and I don't think it was on purpose.)
