Give me a few years to stop feeling disgusted at the content before I know how I actually feel about this book as a story. Right now it's hard to seperate.

They drew me in with that sensation of feeling like an alien in society, and then creeped me out with incest, and then went full trigger with multiple scenes describing

rape and underage sex

. Really wish they hadn't been so graphic there. It was unnecessary and grotesque. I should have stopped there but I was hoping the mc would find another alien to live with instead of surviving.

She did not. It got worse.

Reading this felt like repeatedly getting hit over the head, and I pray this won't scar. This was not the interesting kind of poisoned art I've enjoyed in the past. It was just poison.

Nehmt bloß die Content Warnings Ernst bei diesem Buch! Es war schon recht hart und gerade das Ende war sehr grenzwertig. Im Großen und Ganzen kann ich sagen, dass Buch war … interessant und seltsam. Die Protagonistin hat eine komplett eigene Weltanschauung und sieht sich als Alien. Das Buch kritisiert die Gesellschaft (in Japan) sehr scharf und könnte damit schon einige Leute erreichen, wenn es nicht so … krass wäre teilweise. Ich würde das Buch nicht für jeden empfehlen. Wer aber auf verrückten Horror Contemporary steht, sollte es auf jeden Fall versuchen! Ich mochte es, aber gerade so am Ende, hatte ich doch meistens nicht so Lust auf dieses Buch gehabt. Ich habe es übrigens als Hörbuch gehört und fand die Sprecherin solide. Sie hat eine gute Arbeit geleistet.
