I love the Mother-Daughter Book Club series! This was no different. I love how the girls, in a small way, follows some of the characters and experiences in Pride and Prejudice. P&P is one of my favorite books, so I was excited that girls were finally reading it.

Move to England for a year?! No way! That was Emma's first reaction when her parents dropped the news. Jess got a scholarship to Colonial Academy. And there's so much more for all of the other lives of the rest of the girls. Will the bookclub ever survive and keep going? To find out, read this book!

So glad to be back in the world of The Mother-Daughter Book Club! I was pretty nervous when Emma and her family moved to England, but it turned out alright. My favorite character is Cassidy, and I adored her storyline!!!!! The book club read Pride and Prejudice this time around and I was excited to read the mini Pride and Prejudice storyline, that was woven in the book. It was fun to read all the romances with the girls and all the accomplishments that they achieved. These girls are such great role models and I wish to be as awesome as them (I may have said that already).

This book is great for Jane Austin lovers. There's some Jane Austen speak, and a lot of Jane Austin sites.

This installment was also really sad. SPOILER: My favorite Olympian passed away. It was heart breaking to read of this character's passing, after growing attached to her in the series. I cried. The Mother Daughter Book Club won't be the same.

Another wonderful addition of The Mother-Daughter Book Club. Of course, with the focus being on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, it could not have been any better.

I enjoy this series more and more with each book. This story follows the girls through their first year of high school as they read Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. I loved all the little tid bits about Jane Austen that you learn through the book and how the story sort of parallels Pride & Prejudice in some ways, but not too much. I really enjoyed getting to read more about each of the characters and their little romances and story lines. A great book, and one I'd highly recommend to tween or teen readers.

I like these books, I really do. They are clean and funny and capture how I felt as a girl that age well. However, I just feel that for the target audience (they are not hard complicated reads and are probably at a 6/7 grade level) the high school books dwell too much on the girl drama and girl/boy relationships.
