Loved this! It felt similar to Throne of Glass at times but arguably much better with much more mature characters who are all uniquely interesting. I really love the three sisters and their relationship, and I also loved all the side characters too. My only wish is that we had seen more of Kaipo! It felt like he was forgotten about in the second half of the book which is a shame as I loved the idea of a shapeshifting bird. Very excited for the next book to come out!

The ONLY reason that I didn't give this book 5 stars is because I didn't love the very end. It felt extremely rushed and unnecessary. Other than that, INCREDIBLE world with an incredible cast of characters. I laughed, I gasped, I almost cried, and I had such a good time.
This book is so underrated wow everyone needs to read this freaking book!!

This was a slow-paced read but still delivered a lovely story.

If you’re looking for a gentle intro into a new fantasy world with some basic world building, interesting magic system, slow burn enemies to lovers romance with a dash of sisterly banter and “betrothed to the rival king” then THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!

This fell a little to the YA side of the scale for me and the story was simple but still entertaining. There was one spice scene but nothing to graphic and the stakes were oh so low that even when everything was going wrong-it still wasn’t that big of a deal. Basically not that much happened and everything worked out and no one really risked all that much but this was still a fun story and a sweet romance. My favorite parts were the interactions with the sisters so I’ll look forward to reading the other sisters book!

World building and magic system was very cool. Enjoyed the way it was written. Pleasant read but I wasn’t ever shocked or wholly sucked into the world. All conflict seemed to be solved too easily, or if it didn’t go as planned, it would still work out just fine.

It was reaaally good, but I would have liked a bit more chapters of Darius' POV. 🙈
