What Harry found most unusual about life at Ron's, however, wasn't the talking mirror or the clanking ghoul: It was the fact that everybody there seemed to like him.
"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

More random thoughts on my nostalgic reread:
- I really hate Dobby. I know, I know, don't kill me. He really is just too much.
- Ginny is only a year younger but is written like she's about 7.
- How stupidly hot must Lockhart be for women of all ages to be that obsessed with him?
- Truly Hermoine is just letting Harry and Ron tag along and feel useful. She could do it all on her own.
- So, if Tom Riddle did come back, would there be two Voldemort's on the loose?
Im mostly normal, so obviously I love these books. But if I was reading them for the first time I would spend most of my review talking about how bananas the magic system. Lucky for me, my brain is apparently happy to give this series a pass.
