This story is weird, creepy, and atmospheric in all the best ways. Absolutely perfect for this time of year.  Grey, Vivi, and Iris mysteriously disappear as children and then, just as mysteriously, reappear in the exact same spot with no memory of where they were for the previous month. No, something is just "off" about them and they can do things that others can't. I couldn't put this down; I had to keep reading to find out what odd and unsettling thing would happen next.

I didn't enjoy this book. I think this is partly due to that I expected a different story based on the synopsis but also partly due to the execution. I think it is a very slow start. I was bored throughout the whole book and debated on DNFing multiple times, but somehow I did want to know what would happen next.

The characters are very flat. The most interesting part to me was the ending but it did not impress me or truly horrify me. The writing was repetetive.

I liked all the imagery in this story. I also didn't expect it to get as dark as it did towards the end, I really liked how it did that.

Dark, mysterious and gruesome, this book was such a joy to read. Despite the lean towards horror, I always found the mystery of who and what the Hollow sisters were, to be a truly compelling drive for the story. Wonderfully written also.

When I bought it after reading the summary I honestly expected something else. I liked the concept and the story in the book anyway.
However the ending/last few chapters of the book felt as if something was missing to make me give it 5 stars. I just don't know what it's like cooking a meal, trying it and it's tasting like there is a certain spice missing. You just can't place your finger on what it is tho.

The suspense is amazing, I was tensed reading the whole book.
the end though - I was not prepared for it to be this sad. I also do wonder, is there gonna be a sequel? I really enjoyed Tyler's character development, he deserves better
