A vampire reverse harem book with tons of spice. Had a decent plot, is relatively fast paced, and like I said, lots of spice 👀🥵 if you’re into that I suggest reading it!

Kinky smut, but the pregnancy aspect turned me off. I also think that the lines of consent are VERY blurred here, with vampire bites pretty much acting as drugs...

The plot was… quite thin (which is fine; it’s erotica), but at the same time, I don’t want to have to deal with random world-building in my smut.

This book was like a big, embarrassing, fanfiction of every piece of vampire media that's ever been popular in mainstream culture. It was a spicy novel Frankenstein-ed to death with plot devices from other vampire books and movies. I can't say that I did not enjoy it in, it was certainly spicy and that is definitely one thing that I can say that this author writes well. The rest of it... the characters and plot specifically? Lazy. Everything that happened aside form the spice was conveniently wedged in to justify every fantastical thought the author dreamed up. I understand that it's a fantasy and there is a measure of suspended disbelief required but if an author is going to set a book like this in the real world, they should attempt to make it at least a little bit realistic. The main character was nothing special, typical erotica protagonist archetype. Questionable parentage, daughters of a prominent figure, unidentified powers, ends up being more important than everyone thought, etc. Also everything that went wrong she blamed on herself and that felt gross to me. Overall, it was.... fun and the writing was baseline fine. Nothing special and not life changing.

Super spicy but no depth to characters and they all seemed immature.

So very spicy, so very good. There were a scant few things that stopped it from being 5 stars for me…mostly there were times it felt a little repetitive (aside from the fact that it’s a compilation of stories that necessitated some repetition). It seemed like Mina was going over the same things in her head again and again and again and repeating the same tired lines that I found distracting and slightly annoying…which is a shame because I loved her as a character.

The ending was also a bit…anti-climatic. Like, obviously as a romance it has a HEA/HFN but like literally within 2 pages it was over, with very little build up. I also wish the mystery of the seraphs was revealed a little more (unless this is being revealed in later books but also why tease us like this! At least throw us a little bone, a little reveal?)

Other than that, all these characters were so great and lovable in their own sense. And the spicy scenes were soooo deliciously spicy. It was the perfect palate cleanser that I wanted after quite a few more emotionally dense reads.
