It was quirky and cute. The idea of a fallen angel of minor temptations with the point system dealing out 1/10 of a point, 1/2 of a point, etc for their efforts was entertaining. I think that taking it as a work of fiction and not being super serious about its religious characters will make a lot of difference in whether you can enjoy the story or not.

Some quotes that stood out to me.

“Normally, she thought, miserable people were more prone to sin and not less. Getting through the day when you were miserable required an awful lot of willpower.“

“Believe me, plenty of people claim they love someone because they get the warm fuzzies around them—but love is something you do. Quite often, it’s something you choose.”

“The thing is, the dead don’t need anything from you—not love, not forgiveness. Those are things you offer because you need them.”

Another delightful book from Olivia Atwater. It's my second/third book of hers, but I'm already convinced that "delightful" is her territory. I loved the characters and the quickly-defined, but richly-alive world. Another 5 stars! I think I'll aim to read every single thing she writes.
