I'm glad to hear Lizzie's story; I loved her and Isaac in Work For It, so I figured I'd finally read their story. While I don't like when people do things I don't agree with
i.e., Lizzie seducing Isaac without straight up telling him "this guy wants me to dig for info" BEFORE they started fooling around </spoilers> I appreciate that there is acknowledgement that they messed up. Do they really get consequences? A coupled days/weeks of heartbreak followed by them getting back together, but there is always a HEA and I'M OKAY WITH THAT!

Olu is still such a savage and I love how much him and Lizzie get along; it made me call my sister to see how she's doing.

I love that Talia gives us characters that come off one way but are secretly kind. For both Lizzie and Isaac, they had to be cold and hard to survive their worlds, but they are still kind people. I know that's a staple of romance, but I still enjoy that for her books - they're very human and realistic to me, but not so much that I'm annoyed, if that makes sense.

A simple romance with a prim and proper ice queen ballerina and a gruff buff ex-con writer; Talia Hibbert has yet to disappoint me and I don't think she will!

2nd book in the JSUT FOR HIM boxed set.

Far preferred this to the first book in the series/set, but still not hitting my sweet spot. Strong writing, emotional intensity, characters with interesting backstories, and diverse characters, check, check, check, and check. But over-the-top blackmail plot, stop-and-start jerk-the-male-protagonist-around sex scenes (due to female protagonist's guilt over succumbing to blackmailer and doing male protagonist wrong), and an underdeveloped romance arc (lots of hot sex/almost sex scenes, but not a lot in the getting-to-know/like-you way) offset many of the positives for me.
