Took me some time to get into it, but eventually fell into Safiya’s story of finding her self and believing in her own power.

An absolutely wonderfully poetic memior. I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed it, far more that I imagined I would.

I would say if you are a fan of Tara Westover's Educated then you will for sure enjoy reading this.

The complexities of her relationship with her father is tenderly shared.

A triumph of a read.
