Let me start off by saying “CAN I HAVE MY HEART BACK???”

Chase the Butterflies was raw, emotional, and heartfelt! It was unlike anything I’ve ever read before. I can’t say how many times my jaw dropped while reading this or how many times I said “WTF” while turning the pages.

Monica....BRILLIANT! ♥️♥️

This is a very unique story, and now I get why the author wasn’t really sure, what genre to put on this book. It covers a whole lot of different things.

This is a highly emotional read, which will you have in need for a lot of handkerchiefs. Be prepared! Monica James just knows how to suck you into a story, and this one is no exception.

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review

I kind of went into this book blind and didn’t look at the description or any of the early ARC reviews.. and I’m so glad I did it that way. This is the first book I’ve read by Monica James and after seeing/hearing so many wonderful things about her writing, I had to try it out for myself.

This book seemed different to her previous ones; with the concept and the storyline. I loved it. It really hit home with the characters and their journeys together. I can’t give too much away because it’ll spoil the surprise about halfway through. It’s a story of strength and how people can come together in their most desperate times of need.

Thank you to Monica James for writing this because it really makes to think about life and how much can change in a matter of seconds. I really felt like the writing was very personal and extremely emotional, coming from the heart. A really gorgeous read.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. I’m not one to read blurbs and I love all of Monica’s books. This one took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that I didn’t expect. If I could I would honestly give this book a million stars. It is so worth it and I know I will be recovering from my book hangover for a long time.

Victoria’s life changed in an instant. One little moment forever changed the course of her life. Jude was a bit of a mystery, throughout you could tell there was something off about him, but just couldn’t place it. However, the chemistry between Victoria and Jude was electric. I loved it. I loved them. The change in Victoria throughout the story was inspiring and Jude helped her realize so much about herself. The more and more I learned about Jude the more I loved him. I wanted to hug him. Like Victoria, I was under his charm and you can’t help but feel drawn to him.

Chase the Butterflies is completely addicting and captivating. There are so many twists and turns throughout the story that will surprise you. This is an emotional story that will tug on your heart strings and leave you completely breathless.

“Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas? The Butterfly Effect ~ Edward Lorenz

I knew this was a book I’d love and fall in love with even before I read it. I took the advice and read blindly as possible (which kind of makes this review moot, although it’s really not).

I don’t feel like my words are sufficient right now to fully express how much the effect Chase The Butterflies has impacted on me.
I’ve read some amazing books that will stay with me, but this one: THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE ME. Words are a powerful medium and when a writer with the gift of creating spell binding literary magic like Monica James does; something of unique and astounding beauty is created.

“I can see into his soul, and what I see is beautiful.”

Jude Montgomery is an angel among men and Victoria is the girl that changes her destiny. Two unforgettable characters that have taken me on a journey into the unknown. It was a journey that felt SPIRITUAL and it evoked emotions that overwhelmed me at times; and even after crying what felt like bucketloads of tears I feel oddly at peace and fulfilled. My heart was so full it burst, yet still it beats; it beats a new rhythm- to life.

Monica James, you’ve given me an ember of hope; the tiniest flicker rising from a pile of ashes that becomes to an all consuming inferno that brings rebirth, and new beginnings. What a truly UNIQUELY BEAUTIFUL and most ASTOUNDING BOOK.

10/10 HEART FLUTTERING STARS

Oh man, I had missed Monica James books, and how they made me feel...
HA, right, I'm STILL getting over how Forever My Saint ended and how much of a gut punch that was... Even a month down the damn track... My head and heart are still aching and spinning.

So I went into Chase the Butterflies with caution, thinking I knew this author's tricks. Well, I was epically wrong and what unfolding within the pages is something I never expected.

It was a given that I was going to love this book, but like I said I got more than I expected, and that's not a bad thing. Monica James has become a fast favorite of mine and an author that I will come back to.
Her ability to grab my attention with a compelling storyline is a craft and she has mastered it. I have so much I want to lay flat and rave on about.

SO MUCH.

all you need to know is that you need to be prepared to go into this book, it's about to grab hold of your heartstrings tighter and harder than you ever thought possible. It's going to make you laugh one minute but sob like a child the next. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that had me on some high highs but some even lower lows. Which is how Ms. James writes... She'll have you falling off that high so swiftly that you faceplant the ground feeling each and every cut that you endure. Her words will slice your heart in two and leave you to bleed out right until you cannot take it anymore and then... BOOM...

Jude and Victoria find something within each other so profound and strong that it's almost intoxicating to read. Both broken, both hurting, both struggling... But when they come together and something happens. The love between the two of them heals them in a way... and reading that, was tragic, yet beautiful in one. I was a complete mess at the halfway point, cursing out the author... Yet I couldn't put the book down. This story is something that has grabbed hold of my emotions and my heart... And it's not about to let go that easy.

Must Read, seriously... I know I love a lot of books but this is one of three books/start to series that I will say with everything that it is a top read of 2019. I love all kinds of books but not many make that list.

Monica's way with words, her ability to tell a compelling story, so different and unique is beyond incredible and I found myself completely captivated by each and every word. Her words a lace with emotions and passion when she writes this kind of romance. Just reading this I was able to pick that up and it makes me fall even more in love with this plot and the characters inside these pages.

Was ich selbst ziemlich schade fand.
Das Ende war dann ähnlich überraschend wie der Anfang & hat mich trotz zwiegespaltener Gefühle erleichtert zurückgelassen.
