Absolutely fucking incredible. If you’re a fan of the League, this is 100% a must-read, and is a true testament to the depth and genius of Alan Moore's creativity and imagination as he delivers a wild ride through the history of the league presented through examples of styles throughout the history of literature.

I thought that the second TLOEG volume was the worst Alan Moore book ever until I read this. I gathered all my courage and finished it at last.

É o "Onde está o Wally?" da literatura universal. Recomenda-se a leitura da série completa. Sem isso, anda-se um bocado à nora.

This volume jumps from 1898 to 1958 with no explanation... so much so I had to check Wikipedia to see that I hadn't skipped a volume. I was relieved to see that there is definitely some continuity from the previous volumes, but was very disappointed that the vast majority of this is the actual contents of the Black Dossier rather than a comic about it. If I wanted to read vast volumes of text, I'd read a prose novel, not a comic - I ended up skipping a lot of it. Sure, it gives a decent history of the League, and does fill in the 60 year gap between the volumes, but to be honest, it would be better to at least *see* some of this rather than just be told about it. The volume does have some good points - good art, some weird bits and pieces, and a great use of 3D-glasses which is the first time I've seen this in a comic.

I'd say that this is not worth the read. It barely adds anything to the lore and the plot itself really doesn't matter, as was the "mystery" set up at the beginning. If you're trying to read through the collection, just read the Fandom wiki for this one.

Didn't like it as much as the first 2. "The Crazy Wide Forever" was torture. The 3D was fun, but I wondered why they bothered coloring those pages, because you couldn't see any of the colors.
