Expected more from such a well known author. Didn't really feel for the characters. Felt the ending was silly and the whole thing lacked depth. I will read another Danielle Steel book before avioding her like the plague!
Eh...it was what can be expected from a Danielle Steel novel. I call it "brainless reading". I love her character development and imagery and the relationships she forms between characters. I wanted to rate it higher, because it kept my interest and kept me wanting to read more, but I have to compare it to other books...so, a 3. I'll still read her books when I want a break from books with a deeper message and meaning and when I want to sink into the world of Pollyanna without having to guess an outcome or analyze anything.
I got this book because Danielle Steel is supposed to be the pinnacle of Romance writing. But this was the most BORING romance I have ever read. First off - there is NO SEX AT ALL in this book. There is hardly any romantic tension at all. Oh, did I mention the lead character is a NUN? Yep! How sexy is that? Answer? NOT AT ALL. Skip this stupid, lame, boring book. The other characters are just as limp as the nun. All and all I found my first Danielle Steel book about as arousing as a nun.
I liked it. I like the whole finding yourself and not staying on the path you think you are going to stay on aspect.
I grew up reading Danielle Steel, and some of her books seemed to have the same repetitive plot, with only the characters changing. I really enjoyed this one! I thought the twists of fate (or was it meant to be?) were incredibly similar to real life, and the way the characters dealt with their challenges with strength, and grace, was "amazing".
My first Danielle Steel, and probably my last. Her writing was far too repetitive for me, and I didn't really connect with any of the characters. Also, too many cliches. I can get down with cliches, but these were badly done cliches, and that's just not my style.
Yeah, take a pass on this one...

Eh. Good thing I wasn't expecting much. D. Steel books just aren't my thing.
Yikes, really bad and so unrealistic, BUT it was a fun way to spend a few hours in these dark times.
The book started off strong but sped through backstories and rushed to an expected, predictable ending.
Puke! Undeveloped characters and story made it hard to get into! I usually love a good, trashy Danielle Steel book in the summer! Love betrayal tears... Couldn't connect to anyone.
