Just Haven't Met You Yet is so much fun! It's like a Hallmark movie in book form. The characters are unique and the main character is quirky in a genuine way. I also enjoyed the backdrop of the main character discovering her own family history.
That being said, it's a bit more realistic than your average Hallmark movie. It acknowledges that, even if a relationship ends, that doesn't make it a waste of time. Nora found out her parents didn't get married and they broke up before her dad died. While this is a rude awakening, she eventually realizes that they still had a lovely summer together.

This was one book that took me on an adventure through its setting, and it was a balm I needed for that alone. Sophie Cousens write the best friends for her characters. I need more books with friendships at the center that hold the protagonists up but accountable.

This book had mama mia vibes to it in getting to know the love story and truths behind your parents. How even when we hold our parents up, and feel they know all the answers they can still have chinks in their armor too.

I also loved that it reaffirmed that even tho love may be short doesn't make or mean it was untrue.

It also gave a bit of Devil Wears Prada vibes with Laura's boss and it reinforcement of needing a good work life balance.

I did enjoy the triangle, but wanted to shake Laura a few times, but overall this was a very sweet book.

A little contrived for my liking. Didn't finish the book because I knew where it was going, and it didn't have enough charm to keep me engaged.

Not for me, but others will definitely like this book.
