Couldn't get attached to characters, or to the plot.

I loved this series and the ending was really beautiful! Tho toward the end was a bit predictable and the serie was just too long… guess long series are not completely my thing and this just felt a bit too long. Tho it was still a very beautiful story and I loved all the characters and their bond together, I will miss reading about them…. Was weird to end the series after all those books.

If this wasn’t the most satisfying end to a series, I don’t know what is. I loved every single main and side character in this book, from the Gods all the way to the best couple, Cassia and Elander. They are truly one of the best couples I’ve ever read. The fact that they both want to protect their partner but acknowledge that they need their independence, and sometimes even that splitting up is better? I will be thinking about them for months. AND THE WEDDING?? It had me bawling from cuteness. The epilogue too. It was a fitting ending to all their stories, and I loved every second of it
A quick shout out to Jessie Vilinsky, who narrated these audiobooks that I found on Everand(formerly Scribd). She had me on the edge of my seat for every single book, and I LOVED her narration
So now it’s over. If you want a Throne of Glass or Fourth Wing style book, look no further than this series. It will make you happy, sad, loved, and make your heart nothing but full of joy

TBH I got burnt out listening to this series.
Books 1-3 were REALLY good, but I felt like the series lost momentum in book 4, the storyline was repetitive, more information was being introduced with the gods and it was all kinds of confusing. There were A LOT of battles throughout the series but just about everyone survived except like 3 reoccurring characters, so that made me lose interest.
I wish we got more from the side characters like Zev and Laurent.
Varen’s character development & storyline was interesting, I wish we got more from his perspective, so that it’s not just a Casia & Elander POV.
I would recommend books 1-3 for sure, idk about books 4&5 though. I had to listen to the last 40% of book 5 on 2x speed just to get through it.
Maybe I should have spaced them out more.
I would def recommend the audiobooks. (Books 1-3 are free with your audible membership, books 4&5 are 1 credit each)
The audio narrator did a great job & definitely helped me get through the series, otherwise I probably would’ve DNF’d book 4 and never read book 5
