I really liked the book Hotel of this writer and I hoped this book would be as good. It wasn't as fast paced and as much drama as I hoped. The story was outdated on some parts. Still an okay read.

Well this book surprised me. I picked it up in a second bookshop in Kuala Lumpur and then regretted the decision. However, once I started reading it I was really captured by the story. Yes, it’s dated and yes you have to get over the sexism that runs throughout the book. The story is good though. I couldn’t put down. True it’s not a classic, it’s formulaic but it kept me happily occupied for two days!

This work clearly shows the author knows how to write character; however, it is written with late-60s stereotypical male and female personalities. So far, while the plot line is intriguing and the details informative, it is just ok....But this book has some intriguing insight to offer on society, people, and airport operations. Makes me wonder how much things have really changed in the past 40 years.

The beginning of the book was a bit long and not that interesting. However, once the plot-twist started, I red half of the book in one day. When I was reading the end of the book, I understood, why there was a long beginning, mainly due to the fact that you should know the characters and who are they and how should they react to different situations.
I also really liked how the processes of airport and airplanes were described. It adds a pinch of feeling that this could happen in reality.
However, of course, the book was written a long time ago and some of the information is a bit outdated but this doesn’t make the book less interesting.

Airport has not aged well. The most interesting part was reading about airport minutia of the 60s, but the sexism is pretty unpalatable.
