If you REALLY enjoy the Welcome to Night Vale podcast, then you will probably REALLY enjoy this book. If you are kind of amused by the Welcome to Night Vale podcast, then you will likely be kind of amused by this book. If you have never heard of the Welcome to Night Vale podcast but appreciate the intersection of mundane and absurd, you might appreciate this book. If you violently hate the Welcome to Night Vale podcast, why are you reading this book even? Like are you some kind of masochist?

A really fun book written in a unique tone. Funny and dark, weird and poignant. I might have to make room in my feed for the podcast now. 4.75 stars? Maybe 4.99 stars.

This is, honestly, difficult to review. I've been a fan of the podcast, and listen to it kind of on and off, but I'm not sure reading the podcast works for me. In places I flew through, while in other places it was so tough to slug my way through. There were few passages that I remember quite well, but most of the book is kind of a haze, where I can't remember anything. It's honestly so ironic considering that there's quite a lot of focus on memories and remembering in the book.
However, since I can't remember a lot of the book, it's not really possible for me to review anything.

It's just bizarre. But based on my experience, I can say for certain that I'm not going to read the other Night Vale books, because it's not really for me. This wasn't bad. I just don't feel like repeating the experience.
