This is a fantastic picture book biography about the inventor of the first video game system that could hook up to a TV. It has a medium amount of words, so could be read aloud fairly easily. The illustrations are bright and engaging. I also really appreciated that the full design process was mentioned--from initial idea to setbacks to prototypes and a working product. I think many readers who also love gaming will be interested to know the origins of their video game system (and be amazed at how far things have come since they were first created!)

This picture book biography is informative and engaging, and the author did a great job incorporating historical context and basic scientific explanations for young readers who might not have the necessary knowledge to frame some elements of this story. This is very nicely done overall, and will appeal to kids and adults.
