Moore, funny as always, takes on romance and vampires in this novel. Some of the humor is dated and not particularly PC, but that's pretty much to be expected. There were still a few laugh-out-loud scenes to balance the cringeworthy moments, however.

3 out of 5 stars.

Really fun take on the whole non-sparkly vampire thing. Sometimes it almost feels like Mr. Moore is attempting to make some sort of social statement then he bronzes a live turtle and mocks himself. Definitely for adults, but a fun read.

An amusing romp, despite my strong aversion to literature involving vampires.

A quick vampire book, similar to Anne Rice's early books, without the sex, but with a lot of humor. A very good read. Was able to read half of it on the plane ride to DC, and finished it up after supper on the bed in the hotel room with a cartoon of Hagen Daas Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and a glass of Coke, after watching the end of Deal or No Deal.

This book become so dull and uninteresting. I wanted to hit most of the characters with a newspaper

This did not aged well. It was kinda fun at first but the characters are so flat. I don't know why all the boys speak like elementary students and the main girl could've had so potential. I was looking for a book that will fill the void of What We Do in the Shadows, I found this book, but sadly, it didn't made its mark.

I liked it. Very much a light and breezy book. Not as funny as I was expecting. That could be because I HATED Tommy! Like seriously he's such a childish little b***h. I just wanted to punch him the whole time. Curious to see if that will continue into the next book.

Christopher Moore is hilarious! This book made me laugh out loud. Plus, it's set in San Francisco, so it's got that local feel to it. AND it's a vampire story, and I'm always a sucker for a vampire story.
