i ended up liking this book the most out of the first three of this series. i had to force myself through the first 20-25%, but after that, it became intriguing again. just like dune and dune messiah, it's tough to read, especially if english isn't your native language, but it's doable. like in the previous books, some descriptions were just really long-winded and verbose, which didn't interest me much, but the story itself became very good once the pace picked up a bit. there were some scenes that were disturbing, but i didn't mind. there were many twists i didn't see coming and i loved that. i also loved the complexity and how the universe was expanded on, especially regarding the worms. out of all the characters, i ended up being most fond of ghanima and farad'n. i'm definitely going to read the next book too.

A beautiful continuation of the Dune Saga. This book dives even deeper into the religious politics of the Dune universe than the two previous, and makes you excited to read God Emperor of Dune.
