I saw somewhere that this didn't have to be read before Haunting Adeline, but it was highly recommended, so here I am.
I did not know horror+smut was a thing until now, but wow the MC is truly insane. I did predict the twist the chapter before it was revealed though.

So I took a night so that I could really think about this review. I have settled on 4 starts, but really I think this is closer to a 4.5 star book.
OBSESSED
The main character was so well-written that I didn't mind going on this ride with her. I might have even understood her quest. Although wrong, she made me believe in her. Although twisted, I gave her grace. Although hurt, I just wanted her to heal. Also I love that she sings Ring Around the Rosie considering her mission...Just a perfect song for this character to sing!
This book is not for the faint of heart. The scenes are told with graphic detail, at times I even had to question what I read. Her 'Henchmen' Mortis, Timothy, Jackal & Cronus are also well written which makes you understand their bond.
SPOILERS
So that ending right....I am still thinking about it and makes me wonder what if anything of the last "play" scene was real. I love the fact that at the end of the book, I feel for her while also questioning what I just read.
Also, I love the idea that her "psychosis" allows her to see the world in a way the "normal" people are too afraid to. Lastly, I love that in the end we are left to wonder about the Dr.
All in all a well-written, well-thought-out book and I can't wait to read more from this author.

3.5/5 So fucked up. Not a clue what I was getting myself into reading this book but I still kept on reading. Not my normal read with it being Smutty , but enjoyed how psychotic and gory it was.
