So glad Dara finally got her own book! Won't spoil anything but this book is as good as the first one!

 Review:
To be honest, I read this book twice before writing my review. The first time was just for the sheer enjoyment of Silas and Dara. The second time was to analyze the book a bit more and determine what I loved so much about it. Even after my second read, I still can't pinpoint just one reason why I loved this book so much. Rather, I realized it was the combination of many factors that made this such an excellent read. Audrey Carlan has taken a common plot, the one-night stand resulting in a baby, and execute it in a perfect and believable manner.

Silas and Dara have mutual friends, characters from the previous Lotus House books. When they're first introduced, sparks fly and they have an one-night stand. However, a misunderstanding leads to Dara leaving the next morning and then discovering a few weeks later that she's pregnant. While the misunderstanding with Silas quickly gets cleared up, the trauma of his past, which caused the misunderstanding, lingers. Despite that, when he learns about the pregnancy, Silas throws his all into a relationship with Dara. This book is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Dara is an awesome heroine, fiery and just yoga calm and a baker to boot. However, Silas really takes the cake (see what I did there). His past is traumatic but when he learns about the baby, he works to overcome that past and be supportive for Dara and his future child.  He's complex and fleshed-out and totally heartbreaking and a believable hero all in one.

What I especially enjoyed about this book was the lack of drama. I'll admit, most of my love for the baby trope in romance comes from how drama-filled the books are. However, in Intimate Intuition, Audrey Carlan takes a more realistic approach. Sure, there's a little drama with the misunderstanding in the beginning and with Silas' family later. For the most part though, the relationship between Dara and Silas is immensely healthy and supportive. They both decide that they're all in for this baby and for making a relationship between them work. Sure, they have issues to overcome but they address them in adult and logical ways. It's actually comforting to watch their relationship play out. The love that grows is of course passionate (Audrey Carlan is a queen at steamy scenes) but more than that, it's strong and binding and steady. I loved this book because of the pure beauty of their relationship. Sure, circumstance jumped-started that relationship but it became so binding and beautiful that only outside forces could threaten it. They face issues together and the roots of their love grow so strong and sure that the reader truly believes that nothing can sever them.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-8/5/18

So this was essentially a very well written good read and though in my opinion, you can definitely read this as a standalone; I do think that on a whole you would probably get more from this if you read the whole series from the start.
For me, this was my first experience with this particular author and it was a mostly positive endeavour.
There were just a few minor irritants, that were mainly just personal preferences and I will explain further later.
So as I said earlier this was a really good read.
It contained very relatable characters that were extremely easy to bond with.
A great supporting cast.
Was told from duel pov, which is my absolute favourite and just works for me.
It also managed to read as a stand-alone without the information overload that some series seem to convey in an effort to make it such.
I was easily caught up in the narrative here and ultimately most importantly equally invested in the eventual outcome.
Now for my minuses; I'm not a big fan of a certain popular romance trope used here and I wasn't aware initially that "Intimate Intuition" featured this particular trope at its very centre.
Obviously, not the author's fault: so really should be commended on the engrossing read this is as I still enjoyed this heaps and usually this trope is like a red flag to a bull for me and turns me right off.
I also wasn't a big fan of some of the dialogue used here.
I'm not sure in real life if this way of talking and slang is what is most often used.
having zero exposure to this culture I'm commenting blind here people
But, I just wasn't a big fan of the whole baby-mama etc talk, wasn't my bag at all.
I also felt the first half of this story was overly featured on the whole moving forward thing and I would maybe have liked more focus on Dara and Silas again just my personal preference.
So despite my personal aversion to the trope used here I still found this a great fascinating read.
I was quite intrigued with the whole aura reading, yoga and meditation angle.
Never having any exposure to this type of experience I found it rather compelling and fascinating reading.
Not sure I'm an actual convert yet but it definitely added an extra dimension and unique flavour to the whole entire story.
And I should also mention this was a very emotional read with plenty of personal growth but also red-hot scenes of intimate connection for both Dara and Silas.
Surprisingly this was a lot more action-filled than I was expecting.
But I was on the fence a bit to whether this was actually necessary or added much to the book.
Got to say know "Intimate Intuition" has one of my favourite ever epilogues as its finale.
Really adored that.
So swings and roundabouts folks.
This was at its centre a great read, but I still had some slight reservations that managed to pull it down a bit for me.
I am still happy to recommend this especially if you're looking for a romance that's packed with emotional baggage but also still has a willingness for personal growth.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "Intimate Intuition (Lotus House #6)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I loved this one. So much.
The found family, and community love. The way everyone helped Silas finally come to terms with deep loss... so good. One of my faves in the series.

Yassss Queen! Dara is a spunky diva and I am all about that. I love strong, feminine female leads. Dara is the epitome of what I strive to be, I'm far from it but hey, Dara is goals!

I love that this novel was culturally inclusive and diverse. Heck, Dara doesn't even know her full ethnicity, but who cares? One of the quotes in the book that I loved was about how what is on the inside is what matters, not how you look on the outside. I can't remember the exact quote, I should have written it down, but once you read it you'll know what I'm talking about.

felt like the whole book was full of twists and turns. I mean from the get go we get a plot twist. It doesn't start out all cute and sappy. It is relatable with real life obstacles or histories that a couples may have to overcome together. It is truly a ride. I will say though that I found myself rooting for Dara and Silas from the very beginning.

I also want to point out that Silas addresses his fears and his deepest, darkest ghosts. He gets help for his PTSD, and that's okay. She wonderfully put into text what someone goes through when they go through something like what happened to Silas. I think the author did an amazing job of summarizing therapy and how it truly can help you overcome your past.
I absolutely loved this Lotus House book and look forward to the next book in the series!

Intimate Intuition did not disappoint as the sixth book of the Lotus House series. I love this series and this book can truly be read as a stand alone or as a continuation of the series. I personally read Silent Sins as a stand alone and loved it so much I binge read the series to be ready for Intimate Intuition so you will understand relationships more by beginning with Resisting Roots it is not necessary at all.

This book is captivating and takes you through the emotional story of Silas and Dara who have both experienced loss and both want to protect themselves from more loss. With Dara you either get the down to earth meditation instructor who reads auras or a lady full of sass. She is a strong character who has experienced loss from being an orphan but doesn't dwell on it because her parents saved her from that life. Silas is an alpha male who is still hurting from the loss of his past. It still rules a lot of his fears of experiencing more loss which makes him naturally want to play it safe. Both of them felt drawn to each other from the time they met but both are scared to take the plunge to be with each other for different reasons. Dara is a meditation instructor which plays a major role in this book for both her and Silas. Silas treats Dara as a queen which makes this such a beautiful love story. This book was captivating from the very beginning to the last page. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster that makes you feel the joy and pain of the characters in the book.

One thing I love about this series is all six stories have been six different stories not different characters and variations of the same story. Each book you open takes you on a new adventure in this circle of people that center around The Lotus House Yoga Studio.

I read this book as an Advanced Reader Copy

As in typical Audrey Carlan fashion, this book takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I literally couldn't stop reading this book, so I used my Kindle to read to me while at work and in the car. Be prepared to laugh, cry, yell and hug those close to you. I LOVED Intimate Intuition!

I was really nervous to pick this book series up again after I tried to read the previous book and ended up quitting. Just wasn't mentally prepared for it. So I decided to wait a bit and skip to the next two when I felt I was ready. This was a great book to start back up with. It was touching and sweet. Still as sexy as the others. I really glad to see Moe, Clay and Atlas again too.

I love this series, however, this book was my least favorite so far. Silas McKnight and Dara Jackson spend one night together. Dara believes that Silas is married. When she learns she's pregnant, she knows she must tell him but wants to wait to figure out how to tell him. Silas has a tragic past and lost everything that he loved. For three years all he has had was work. He has not moved on and is not really living. He goes to Lotus House for a meditation class and ends up seeing Dara again. She cuts him down. He wants to explain that what she believes is not true. After some difficult times, they are able to work things out. I thought the basis of the story was good. The author captured Silas heartbreak and inability to move on well. I found that I did not like the dialogue between characters as much as in previous books in the series.
