I LOVE THE KENNEDY CREW!! Such drama, scandal, secrets, lies, and that soapy hyperbolic drama that I just NOM up. We finally get to dive into the heart of one of our older Kennedy men- Kaden, who’s always felt a bit of a mystery to me since we don’t REALLY know him yet. But then I found out just what this story was about and I was worried- cheating as a device isn’t my favorite, but a lesson learned- TRUST SIOBHAN. She drew me in and I rooted for this couple hard core.

I wasn’t really sure who we’d get with Kaden either- I just felt like I didn’t know much about him, which in a way was nice- I went in without having a firm grasp on who I thought he’s be as a leading man. And he was SO delicious- alpha, possessive and protective- SWOOOOON. And he has a reason to be protective- EVA is not in a good situation and stuck with a dangerous and callous man. I LOVED how he loved her- he’s so loving and altruistic as a partner- he prioritizes her, is totally possessed by her- even when she resists.

The tension definitely builds between them- which is in part why the whole cheating thing worked for me. They spent time avoiding and trying to resist- despite the fact that Eva has every reason to stray. The situation is perfect for the angsty goodness we know and love about the Kennedy books. I felt for Eva- she’s in a horrible situation, but she’s a survivor. She is smart and kind, and even though she’s in a horrible situation, she does try to resist the comfort and affection of Kaden- and I surprised myself by wanting her to give in, because I wanted her to have his love- so find some happiness. But the path to these two having a HEA is murky and winding- an impossible situation from the start. Oh- bring on the drama!

Siobhan continues to wow me with the way she evolves and gives complexity to characters. This is a LARGE family- yet so far each story the featured brother has felt unique, nuanced, fully realized- somehow both an individual entity but a clear part of the family unit, too. I’ve yet to not fall madly in love with a featured brother, and there are a few brothers that I’m already in love with and we’ve not had their story. I love this big wonky dysfunctional family- because underneath it all are good, big hearted people who are very human- who make mistakes and act out of passion- but at their core they live with love, even though their love is messy, loud, and chaotic. I adore them all! And Kaden has stolen my heart!

Seducing Kaden is the sixth book in The Kennedy Boy's series. This book could be read as a standalone but I suggest reading them in order so you know who the characters are. We have the two main characters, but then a lot of other characters that appear in the first five books. This book is told from Kaden and Evelina's POV.

This book is a forbidden romance. Kaden runs into Evelina (Eva) at a coffee shop when shop and feels instant attraction. He's never felt this way before and wants to be with her. Only to learn she is married. Later that day he realizes she is his professor.

Eva is hiding her own problems. She was forced into a marriage at 18, and her husband is not a good guy. She was forced into a marriage, and ends up falling for Kaden. They have an affair, but she tells him she can't see him again in fear of her husband going after him.

The book is now 3 years later in the present. They both have feelings for each other, and Kaden is trying to get her to leave her husband. She's scared for her life and for Kaden's. Can Kaden help her leave her husband or will he get caught in the crossfires?

I really liked this book and can't wait to read Keven's story!

So freaking good! Loved all the twists and turns. Kaden proved over and over again how much Eva meant to him and when she finally realized it, it was great!

I received an eARC of this book from the author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.

Seducing Kaden
is the latest installment of The Kennedy Boys by Siobhan Davis. I have to start by saying I was excited and hesitant to read this book. Why? Kaden has been a mystery the entire series. From shady dealings in a back alley to fighting with Keven, Kaden has intrigued me. Then I got a taste of the blurb and found out that his romance was not only forbidden but taboo to the extreme….a married professor?! Really, Kaden could do better in my mind. Now those were my thoughts going into the book. See why I was hesitant 😉 Y’all I should’ve known better. It is Siobhan Davis after all, and she’s never disappointed. Alternating from past to present and between the points of view of Kaden and Evelina, Seducing Kaden unfolds in a dark and intimate romance that will leave you breathless by the end.

The book opens during Kaden’s first day of college and his first encounter with Evelina before jumping three years. The constant back and forth did make this hard to connect to Evelina. I already liked Kaden, but I had a hard time connecting to their romance. The story starts with them already in love and flashback chapters tell how they fell in love. The constant back and forth made it a little hard to follow the timeline. However hints and scenes from previous books ([b:Keeping Kyler|35173354|Keeping Kyler (The Kennedy Boys, #3)|Siobhan Davis|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1495223501s/35173354.jpg|53578435], [b:Saving Brad|35195464|Saving Brad (The Kennedy Boys, #5)|Siobhan Davis|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1501010879s/35195464.jpg|56533311]…at least I believe) helped to tie this story to the series as a whole.

Evelina’s story is heartbreaking. Her marriage is a sham. She lives in constant fear. Really she is a damsel in distress, waiting for her knight to free her from her prison. But life isn’t a fairytale, and her knight could lose his life freeing her. I had a hard time accepting her reluctance to get herself out of her situation.

Now to the aspect of the story I had the hardest time accepting before I even read it: cheating. I abhor cheaters. I feel like there is always another option. However this story it didn’t even feel like cheating. Evelina was married, but not by her choice. There was no love lost between her and her husband. Now I know I’m justifying and I’m not even giving that many details (because spoilers!), but when you read it you’ll get what I mean.

Overall, I liked Kaden’s story. It wasn’t my favorite of the series, that’s still [b:Loving Kalvin|36755510|Loving Kalvin|Siobhan Davis|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1513426007s/36755510.jpg|55952239]. I recommend this one to anyone that is a fan of the series thus far. However I do feel I should warn you that this is a darker read than Siobhan Davis's previous books.

FINALLY!!! The eldest Kennedy brother. From book 1, I was intrigued by Kaden (and Keven, more on him later). He was a college boy that came home once in a while for his family.

Getting into this book, I kind of had an inkling of what was going to happen, but I didn't expect EVERYTHING to happen. First day of college, Kaden meets a beautiful woman. It was love at first sight for him. Unbeknownst to him at the time, but she was his college professor. Oh, and she's completely hands off. Because not only is she his professor...she's married *Gasp*! Now, this is where I would automatically look down on the lead male character. Lusting after a married woman is a no-no.

Eva is a child prodigy. She earned a full ride to Harvard after graduating high school at 16, and had her doctorate before she was 30. At 18, she was forced into a marriage with a man 20 years older than her. Talk about never experiencing life. Eva was...a replacement wife for her husband. She craved her freedom, love, a life away from her loveless marriage. But knowing a bit about what her husband does for her job, she realized that she'd be stuck forever. Enter Kaden.

I'm not for cheating. As I know everyone else is against it. But reading about Eva's history and the fact that she does not love her husband, I sympathized with her. The chemistry that Kaden and Eva had was explosive. They bonded in a way that I hand't seen in the previous books. Maybe it's because they were both older? And I will say that the 5 year age gap is literally nothing. With the way that Kaden protected her and loved her, you couldn't even tell that he was barely 22.

In Kaden's story, you get a glimpse of the rest of the brothers. During the Irish Getaway, we know that Kaden and Keven fought, but we didn't know over what exactly. Ky and Faye just get more and more adorable. Kent is still as crude as ever. Kal and Lana are living happily in Florida with Hewson while finishing up school. Keanu is become broodier. Keaton is becoming withdrawn. I love that Siobhan seamlessly blends the epilogues of the previous books with the beginning of the next book. We get a bit of what's to come.

couldn’t put this book down and read it in record time for me! I highly recommend these books to any and all. Kadens story is darker then the others and could carry some trigger Warnings for some readers, but the book is truly non put downable once started. These books are addictive and I simply can not wait for Kevens story.
