*I was given a copy of this book for an honest review*

Let me just say that I couldn't put this book down. This is my first book from JD Hollyfield and won't be my last.

Life Next Door is Tara Sivec meets Alice Clayton.

Cece is a smart ass and sounds like someone I seriously want to be best friends with. Her love of wine and sugar are hilarious. Some of the things that come out of her mouth and the things she thinks had me laughing loudly.... Seriously make sure you are not in public because you will be looked at sideways for continuous laughter.

Trent, Trent, Trent
Let me tell you how in love I am. He's like the perfect apple turnover....
Sweet with a bite and perfect when topped with icing. ;)
He is so funny and sweet. I just want to melt. However the second he senses push back his alpha side pops out and then I do melt. :)

Jake.... What can I say about Jake. He's loyal and sweet and so smart. The best at cuddles and such a great listener. He's there for Cece when she needs him most. I seriously think he is my favorite of the entire book. No you didn't read wrong. This isn't a love triangle.... Did I not mention he's a dog? ;)

Thank you JD for an amazing book and I can't wait for more!

Pastry chef Priscilla "Cece" Westcott has nothing but deranged feelings for the neighbors house. It was in that house her ex carried on an affair and left her for the other woman. Cece likes to think she has let bygones be bygones but when her new neighbor Trent Walker moves in she immediately decides to hate him because he lives in "that' house. Of course Trent finds Cece's frustrated temper sexy and he plans to come over and borrow some sugar.

Very fun read. I love a heroine who is unpredictable, and Cece is just that. Several laugh out loud moments and once you pick the book up you do not put it down.

Priscilla is such a character, because Trent moves into the house that her husband had an affair in and ran off with that neighbor she decides to dislike Trent right away because his now living in that house.
What a great fast paced romcom.
I 100% recommend this book. I'm off to start the first standalone in this series now!

Life Next Door begins with Pricilla having a normal bad day in her life. She's the type of person who has the most horrible luck you could ever imagine. And after messing up her new painted door, she finds a very handsome man at her door. But he's her knew neighbor, and she wants nothing to do with him. After, starting off on the wrong foot these two can't seem to stay away from each other. But CeCe isn't really sure if she should be in this type of relationship, especially after her ex-husband was such a jerk. But Trent isn't willing to let her go no matter what.

This book was really funny, and super sweet. I loved CeCe. She was hilarious. And I loved her and Trent together. The whole plot line was very intriguing and extremely funny.
The only downside to the book was not getting to see more of Trent and CeCe together, well talking and getting to know each other anyways.

So, overall this was a very good read! It was something pretty light, and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Life Next Door was the perfect light-hearted contemporary romance! :) It was fun, and the characters were absolutely adorable, and definitely quirky! It had me smiling and grinning like crazy, laughing, and it even had me tearing up at times.

As a HUGE fan of sugar, I could totally relate to Cece (a.k.a. Priscilla)! I absolutely loved her little quirks and how she turned to baking (and often wine :P) whenever she had a problem or was stressed. I really liked Trent, too! He was a hunky guy, and definitely tough, but I loved how Cece brought out his soft side. The two of them together were fantastic! They had some serious chemistry, and I loved the teasing and banter between them! :D

The story was pretty light-hearted. Cece was recently divorced and dealing with a bit of betrayal after her breakup. She handled it in a rather immature, yet endearingly hilarious way. I really loved Cece, but I definitely wanted to shake her into action every once in a while. Thankfully, her friends were awesome...and Trent was, too! They never let her stew too long, and would force her into acting a bit more mature! haha ;D While there was some miscommunication between Cece and Trent, I loved seeing them move past it and grow stronger! I'm always a fan of couples actually talking and working things out!! It's definitely one of the things in contemporary romance that I love to see! :D

Overall, I thought that Life Next Door was an adorable story! I really enjoyed the characters, and loved their passion together. I'd recommend Life Next Door to anyone looking for a sweet contemporary romance with some great chemistry, especially if you like a happily ever after! ;)
