Thanks to YouTube audiobook it was finished under one day. Also it was so cozy thanks to that old record.
It wasn’t that good, but some aspects I really liked. Catrine’s story being the told that early was really nice and refreshing. Damon character was as good as always and Steffan being insufferable as always . Loved it

Kind of liked it.
But Elena's character is too 90ish for my taste. I really like the Elena from the TV show, she's much more sweater. The one in the book is quite bossy. Will read the others though, just for the sake of knowing more of Stephan and Damon Salvatore.

Bueno, le voy a poner tres estrellas...
Siempre he sido de las que piensan que los series/películas basadas en libros no dejan mucho que desear respecto al libro en cuestión...pero tengo que admitir que esta vez es al revés. La serie de "Crónicas Vampíricas" le da muchas vueltas al libro.
No me han gustado la mayoría de los personajes, eso sin contar con que Jeremy ni siquiera existe (es una nña de cuatro años), y en general no me ha gustado nada lo que han hecho con los personajes. Con lo que me gusta a mi Matt y lo han convertido en el típico quaterback sin cerebro, eso por no hablar de la propia Elena.
Ya de entrada la Elena de la serie me cae fatal, pero es que la del libro me cae aún peor. Típica diva imbécil, colecciona hombres y sin ninguna neurona.
En general odio leer un libro con temática de vampiros y que la prota no pille que el chico es un vampiro cuando esta más que claro que lo es...personalmente me pone de los nervios.
Eso si, Stefan me ha gustado más en el libro que en la serie, le dan un toque que me gusta más (aunque sigue teniendo ese aspecto de emo victimísta); Damon ha salido mas bien poco asi que no puedo opinar mucho pero Katherine por ejemplo sigue en su línea.
Intentaré dar una oportunidad al segundo libro. Al menos son cortos y se leen bastante rápido.

I already have read this book in German last year in September and gave it three stars. The reason why it only got three stars was that the character Stefan was spelled Stefano - which isn´t really his name at all, so I had quit some trouble reading and liking it back then. Now, I have the whole box collection in Englisch and Stefano was corrected into Stefan, so it may be better this time for me to imagine the characters more detailed like they look in the series, since the names are the same.
AFTER READING IT: So I’m finally done with this book and so far it was better since the name got changed and it was a good idea to buy the complete series as box set in English too. I also had some audiobooks of it I listened to while also reading it at the same time and I’m totally in this story and will read the next book/ start it today.
There are some things I hated about this book because names were changed and characters were totally different from the tv series but it was okay for me.
I like the fact that Alaric will be showing up pretty soon in the next books, because if I had to choose a character from the tv show and the book series it’s definitely Alaric
