YESSSSS. I've been waiting for this book since I first read "A Tailor Made Bride" and wished for a full novel about Ike and Cordelia, and this surpassed all my hopes and expectations. I loved Amos so much, and he even earned a spot on my Husband shelf. xD I loved that we had a different kind of hero-not a cowboy, or even a skilled gunman or fighter, but a really dapper, "cool-type" guy.
My one complaint is that I felt like the villain got in the way, but I never like villains, and I suppose they're kind of necessary anyway, so it's all good. Plus, this villain was actually a lot more interesting and entertaining than a lot I've seen in other christian romances, so that's a plus too. : D
All being said, this one's now in a three way tie with Head in the Clouds and Stealing the Preacher for my favorite Karen Witemeyer book. <3

This book made me really happy and I enjoyed it so much! I loved the humor, the adventure, the faith, the suspense, and of course, the romance.š„°
Grace and Amos were adorable. I absolutely loved how they met! I am a sucker for books with the pen pals-who-fall-in-love trope so I loved that aspect of the book.š I mean they became best friends-to-more by communicating with morse codeā¦ how cute is that?
I loved both of the characters individually too! I really liked Grace and admired her quiet strength. I really liked Amos and his personality. Oh, and his humor was great too.āŗļø They were just a really sweet couple! Karen Witemeyer just knows how to write a sweet romance thatāll make you smile.
I absolutely loved getting to see Malachi and Emma again! Theyāre the cutest! And it was fun seeing the rest of the women from this town too.
I also loved reading Helenās POV which I wasnāt expecting! She and Lee were precious and I loved them!
The suspense and action made this book really hard to put down. I love how fast-paced it was. We basically jump into the plot/action right away so I was gripped by the stories and the characters from the start. There was never a dull moment!
As far as content goes, thereās some violence and semi-detailed kisses. Per usual with Karenās books, Iād recommend to older teens and up.
Overall, I loved this story! It was just I wanted to read at the moment. A sweet romance, an intriguing plot, and good faith content.š„°

I don't want this series to end! But there is only one more book left!
These characters are so easy to fall in love with. I was smiling often at their funny comments and sass.
Amos is the sweetest and different from most male leads. He's an affectionate, glasses-wearing, bicycle riding, telegraph operator.
I found it so cute how Grace and Amos corresponded over telegraph wire and later had bicycle races together.
The plot had me reading late into the night and grimacing at how Grace was treated by the creep Lockhart-more like no heart!
There are a few violent descriptions when
And some of the kisses were a bit too dramatic but all round a pretty clean read.

Without a doubt, Amos Bledsoe lands on the gentlemen's end of the hero scale. He's highly intelligent, modestly athletic, and romantic! Best of all, Amos is DEVOTED, to his faith, to his family, and to his friends (especially those he'd like to be more than friends with)!
I've been a Grace Mallory fan from the moment she pulled her little derringer from beneath her skirts in the first Ladies of Harper's Station book! She is a quiet and compassionate member of the Harper's Station community. Grace is intelligent and courageous, I love that gal!
Heart on the Line has a winning combination of sweet romance, humor, and western adventure with endearing characters. Karen Witemeyer consistently delivers quality Christian fiction. I highly recommend her stories and look forward to the next installment of this series!

A delightfully cute book!
I love a geeky hero that isn't macho and adept at horse-riding and shooting a gun. Amos was adorable. I loved him and their correspondence before meeting. So cute! He's just what Grace needed. Very cute story.

I kind of wish Helen had her own book so her "healing" and change of reaction to men didn't seem so sudden. She was so drastically against men and then to be okay with one in a few minutes seemed too short an amount of time to me. But we get two love stories in one book. That was a surprise and both were really sweet.

I LOVE Karen Witemeyerās books, and I did love the over all stories in this book. However this books pacing was slow and it felt like it should have been two books. I found myself bored which is unusual with Karenās books. I did enjoy the story over all though.

Karen Witemeyer writes my favorite books ever and this one is at the top of the list(I have read all of her stories) Amos Bledsoe is giving Noah Calhoun from "The Notebook" serious competition for my favorite male character ever. He was adorable the way he knew he wasn't God's gift to women but wanted so earnestly to help Grace and be there for her. I can't even fully describe how much I adored Amos. The mystery aspect was very good and I loved the secondary story of Helen. It added a great element to the book. The Harper Station series is my favorite of all of Karen's books and I can't recommend them enough!!
My favorite quote from the book and a great indicator of why I adore Amos:
"He might not be a lawman or have muscles the size of boulders, but he had heart. A heart that belonged to a beautiful woman who'd been willing to die rather than put the people she cared about in danger. A heart that demanded he protect this woman, no matter the personal cost."

I really can't go wrong when picking up a Karen Witemeyer book. She writes great characters and the storylines are well-paced and entertaining.
I especially appreciate a couple of things in Heart on the Line. First - most heros in westerns are described as brawny and brooding. Maybe like John Wayne or a young Clint Eastwood? Amos is delightfully the opposite. Second - the side-by-side relationships developing between Grace and Amos and Helen and the mystery man. I think the added story from Helen's POV adds great dimension and depth to the overall plot.

With a delightful cast of characters, Karen Witemeyer's second venture into Harper's Station does not disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the threads of the story come together in a tale that weaves sweet humor and just enough tension to keep me turning page after page!

Enjoyed listening to this second book in the Ladies of Harper's Station series. The characters were memorable and the narrator did a great job of bringing each one to life. I liked the intelligence of the characters and their personalities. The mystery was good too. It's a quick read with lots of action and a sweet romance.
